I think Lou and Keslers assignment to the AHL was long overdue as well. Good luck trying to beat San Jose.
- bsteinley

San Jose is the team we all had our fingers crossed for, but obviously it wont be easy. LA or STL would probably take the Nucks out, but at least they have a shot against SJ and those other 2 teams will beat the crap out of each other. Perfect scenario.

Yeah, Kesler was playing his heart out there tonight. You know he doesn't give a sh!t when he doesn't have a single dive.

Anyways, better season for the Oilers at least. Next year you'd have to think they'll be right in the middle of it until the very end like CBJ/MIN/DET were.

Have a good summer boys...
At least yall went out with a bang, mind you it was against Vancouver's AHL affiliate.

Better luck next year

I say good for Yak and schultz going out with a bang. The two kids deserved it. That was a great end to the season. I know they weren't facing anyone tonight that mattered except bieksa but those were some nice goals. Now lets hope that MacT doesn't trade any of the 5.

I'm so sorry, i'm a little drunk and i know it will come back to bite me in the a.ss when Vancouver fails in the playoffs but come on..... 3-7-0 to finish the year is a great end? You guys had the playoffs almost all but locked up

and lost out..and won the last two games. obviously a disappointing season, but in a normal length season who knows...in any case, hanging a beating on the Nucks is never a bad thing.

You guys know that SJ, and not LA won tonight right? No one's saying that the Canucks will have it easy(I could see SJ winning if Niemi keeps it up and the Canucks secondary scoring dries up once again). But LA would have probably gone in dry.

great final. Go home you're drunk.

Ps. Don't get too happy fellow oiler fans, no burrows, sedins, hamuis, edler, garrison, tanev in lineup

credit to edmonton. they've shown this year that when they get up they go for the kill. i like that. they don't sit on a lead. they attack.

the only thing i didn't like tonight was the 3rd goal when the oilers celebrated like they had won the cup. this is not the world juniors.

other than that, all the credit to the oil. this is team is young, fast and while they gave up a lot of odd man chances that dale weise couldn't capitalize on, they were scary good when they smelled blood. they're 5 players away from domination. the question is whether or not they have the balls to give up the picks and assets to play with the big boys.

Agreed, loved Mctash as our AHL coach, hopefully the transition to GM pays off, at the very least i doubt it could get much worse.

He's pretty underrated by non-Oilers fans, trade value wise at least. 23 Year old centers with those types of numbers don't grow on trees.
