San Jose is the team we all had our fingers crossed for, but obviously it wont be easy. LA or STL would probably take the Nucks out, but at least they have a shot against SJ and those other 2 teams will beat the crap out of each other. Perfect scenario.

I agree, if Mac T can improve the d-core and add some grit and size that can play in the top 9 then the Oilers are a playoff team. Schultz should also be better down the stretch next year now that he's been through a whole season.

Apparently one of the Canucks pro scouts has been recommending him for a couple of years until Gillis finally signed him(this was after seeing him play with Minny and Edmonton). I really hope they beat and torture that dude and someday he gets hired by some other team as an NHL GM.

credit to edmonton. they've shown this year that when they get up they go for the kill. i like that. they don't sit on a lead. they attack.

the only thing i didn't like tonight was the 3rd goal when the oilers celebrated like they had won the cup. this is not the world juniors.

other than that, all the credit to the oil. this is team is young, fast and while they gave up a lot of odd man chances that dale weise couldn't capitalize on, they were scary good when they smelled blood. they're 5 players away from domination. the question is whether or not they have the balls to give up the picks and assets to play with the big boys.

no, they were given a directive to be positive about all canadian playoff teams by cbc. in the past the canucks have been given a bad media rap and it starts with the canadian broadcaster. it's all good.
