Based on what I've seen, I think he end up a permanent fixture by late next year. He's made that much of an improvement from the beginning of the year. Another half of a year in Rochester and he'll be ready.

His game hit a new level when the NHL season started. They were protecting him I think at the beginning of the year. The improvement he made this season is incredible. He's quite a force out there. Strong on the puck. Hits when the opportunity arises. Drives the net. Seems to have a pretty good shot.
