Quoted for truth...
they will never ice a healthy team at the rate they're at. If they were so lucky to draft Jones this year they'd be foolish enough to play him the following. And so the cycle continues until they get traded and cry, or they leave on their own accord and the fans cry. - 93Matty
Getting tough now Leaf fans because you made the postseason finally in a short season? |

An Avs fan talking poop about the Oilers? Really?
You're the worst run organization in the NHL. Get the (frank) outta here you lame ass troll
Traded a top pairing dman and a promising PWF for the biggest bust of a 1st overall pick in the past decade and Duncan Siemens
Named a 19 year old your captain, just totally said (frank) you to Duchene
i could go on and on
Get the (frank) outta here - FLYERSROCK!
So says a confused Flyers fan... how many trades does it take to ice a functioning team ? I guess we'll see next year.... or the one after that....
talk about saying Frack you to players, you guys sign and trade like you're buying and selling slaves. |

HOW can you possibly defend your 18 year olds being rushed into the NHL ? They were brought in to sell jerseys and give some sort of odd hope to the fans. Keep rushing the kids, and I'm sure magic will happen. Hall came in too early, and needed to add weight to his frame for the style he plays. Also Nuge should have had surgery after being drafted to repair his shoulder if it was that bad. These effects can seriously stint growth ... But hey, I'm no DR ... - 93Matty
your entire premise is flawed.
the point of saying u rushed a kid is that u may have damaged or slowed is development. hall was on pace for over 30 goals last year and had 53 pts in 60 games for fuk sakes. and hes top ten in scoring and a dominant player in his third year. kinda missed the boat on that one didnt ya??
nuge actually improved his defensive game, even with the down offensive numbers. after potting 50 in 60 as a rookie
yaks has been one of our best players in the last month and is clearly figuring out the pro game. i think his prospects look very good long term
we're not talking some 2nd rounder or even a top ten pick. we're talking about bluechip first overalls. how many have been sent down in the past decade by any team?

And where did all of that get you ? My point is , and I'll break it down for you. There was no need to rush the kids into the NHL because your team wasn't ready to compete at a level where they were needed. Not that they couldnt produce in the NHL. 5 years from now they may still be producing at the same clip they are today, however the ware and tare on their bodies wasn't worth the time spent tanking.

Good post. Lots of people think gaining weight has to do with weight lifting. 80% diet. If nuge eats a ton this summer, even if he's rehabbing the shoulder, he should still be able to put on weight.

Or Nichushkin will fall because of the "Russian Factor" so we
can snatch that mother(frank)er right up. - MaximumBone
Thats likely enough to be honest, only thing wrong with nichushkin is that i can't spell his name unles i'm lookin at it. But you're right he's one big ass mean mother(beeper) be good to have either of them on the team. I'd suggest getting two first round picks in the top ten. Trade ganger and get one, do whatever it takes and then try and get both of them. If you're right and he falls, and i'm right that barkov might slip a bit we could get both of them with the 7th and 10 picks maybe. wouldn't a second line of nichushkin barkov yakupov kick ass? It's a nice dream anyway. |

They're 1st overall picks, most 1st overall picks walk right into the bigs, they all have an adjustment period, and it's usually a few years. Hall is a beast, if Ebs can fine-tune his shot to stop missing by 3 inches he'll be back to scoring 30g a season. I'm really not worried about the kids, i'm worried about bringing in guys who can't help them when a team figures them out. |

the point is to try and win. in case u hadnt noticed, those kids are our best players. they just have no help or insulation from quality vets. they ARENT the problem.
(and of course uve noticed the oilers struggles--that's why you're here trolling)
we shouldve sent our first overalls down because of the WEAR and TEAR of the nhl??
is this serious? |

Putting on weight isn't the same thing as putting on muscle, but i understand your point. However if RNH eats lots, but doesn't train he'll have the wrong kind of weight. He'll be fine though, he'll never be the biggest guy but he will be one of the smartest. |

So Tampa should've sent back stamkos? They made it to the conference finals on a good run once and have been bad every other year in his 5 years. I realize every player is different but how does a player improve If they go back and dominate the league they dominated as an 18 year old? You need challenges to improve and develop. Now if they could've been sent to the ahl, then there is merit to that strategy. Unfortunately not the case |

Thats the biggest need for you guys, not defence, you need guys to increase your size in the top 9. It's mostly Hall and Nuge. Hall's a difference type of blue chip, he plays far more of a PF type then a playmaking type. He needed to bulk up. It's looking like Nuge needed surgery between jr's and the NHL. Another year would have done him well.

Stamkos is a different player, and he didnt come out of Jr's injured. Hall's far more gritty and needed size to play his game. Stamp's shot and release is why he jumped right in. Also Tampa's need to sell the same bs concept that the Oilers did, they're a very desperate team ... |

Doing legs releases the most growth hormone which can help add size and muscle elsewhere. He can still develop more lower body strength and size (once he can move the arm lol) |
