Yeah, me too... Maybe we could get a 3C from trading Hemsky. Some sh1t like that. I don't mind losing a trade if it's for something that we need. - laughs2907

Acquiring good bottom 6 players isn't hard if you have a GM with a better strategy than sitting around with his thumb up his ass until draft day.
If we trade Hemsky for anything of value than we win. I used to defend him but he's lost me. Clearly has no interest in changing his ways. If he hasn't yet, he never will. |

What's his cap-hit? 3.5 Million? Hemsky is $5 million so we'd be saving a little, but that's still too much for a 3C... We could move him around though. Maybe. Either way, I want Hemsky gone. |

The quicker he comes off the books, the better. I'm sick of his flashes of brilliance and disappearing acts. If we re-sign him we're retarded. |

What team in this league would surrender a 1st round pick for the likes of Smid and Hemsky?
Please tell me which because no team would. They are not worth it...ESPECIALLY HEMSKY |

We could move him up to the 2c role WHEN one of our guys get injured though. I wonder what Gagner will want... We may have to say goodbye to him |

Stajan disappears for long stretches. Rather a plug that can at least crash over him.
Agreed about gags tho. If he wants 5 or more, i think hes gotta go |

Here's a question. Would you move him for a top 6 player if the other team asked us to eat some of his salary for next year? That is an option and we do have the cap space to do it. 1 year, if we eat 2 mil, he becomes much more trade able.
I still think we can get something for him but now we are in a whole new market of teams that we can trade to. Your opinion? |

This might be off topic but I was looking at highlight reals for players ranked 4-10. I REALLY like Monahan. He is big, he hits, he fights and he scores. I don't know why people like Barkov so much. His goals seem fed to him.
All in all the reals could be not accurate of their skill but Monahan looks faster and seems to have more talent with the puck. In terms of control, release and accuracy. Check them out if you get a chance. I think we might have lucked ourselves into the right player for us. |

I don't get why you are laughing. A lot of teams looking to dump salary. Some will be forced to trade for lower cap hits. If Hemsky was 3 mil you don't think he is worth trading for? I know he is not like the awesome players Calgary has but lets have some realism here. Hemsky still is a commodity. |

Jones... I love ya, but you're GONE to bring in an a-hole like Torres
Smithson GONE - laughs2907
As opposed to acquiring 1 expensive bumhole and 1 cheap bumholes, this team should acquire like 4-5 versatile bumholes. It's better use of our money. |

The problem is, we are still stuck with a whack of non versatile bumholes's contracts. Eager, Belanger, Jones... I agree with you but we need to get feaster to take these guys off our hands or we will have too many contracts.
Great, update after I quote you.
I think we screwed ourselves on Barkov but look at the highlight reals. I really do think that if you do, you might agree that Monahan is the better player. |

Depends who the player is... I doubt many teams would move one of their top 6 for him though.
Say if we pick at #7... I wonder what Hemsky plus our 7th overall would land us? In terms of draft position or an already established player in the NHL. |

It depends. Look at Boston or St. Louis for examples. They can't afford the team they have but dumping a contract to us and having us give them a smaller guy for half the price gives them 8 mill in cap space to work with. Not saying it would work but then we start getting in the realm of maybes. |
