I think you under estimate what Gags is worth. You might not like him, but for his age he is doing pretty well, still has some upside.He's a good ,tho undersized,player. Fortunately ,I don't think the Oilers are looking for picks, they are looking for grown up NHL'ers.
Hemsky,on the other hand, is probably not going to get us much.I would love a 3rd line checking winger, but will settle for a 2nd rounder or a good prospect.

Ward has been overrated since 2006 when he went unconscious during the playoffs. Look at his numbers. he doesn't make our situation in net any better, especially behind our defence. Skinner is a concussion waiting to happen, and is another smallish winger...which we already have in spades. Where do you see the proven stars in that equation? It's an overpay by Edmonton.

Ganer 37 points in a short season I think He can get to 60 pts in a full season playing now with much better skill players something He didn't had before.
