Haven't heard or read too much about him. What's his skill set, size, upside, etc? - ystoil
I've seen him rated as high as 14. ISS doesn't have him top 30. If it were not for an injury he would be top 15 IMO for sure. I think he'll slip to the 2nd round and the Oil can get a steal as the 37th pick.

You think Nurse is still there at 7? - whipper334
No.
I'd be fine with Zadorov or Risto though as well. Let them stay in Junior another year. |

Nichushkin has been balls btw for Russia at the U18's (Maybe I expect more from the biggest and fastest guy in a tournament of guys younger than him)
He's still ISS number 2.
Grigorenko was ISS number two until the end.
Wouldn't set their numbers in stone.
Also William Carrier is pretty sick. |

I find it interesting how many differences there are between ISS final ranks and CSS final ranks. They are VERY different. |

It's a cool dynamic man. Some weird poop gets thrown around like the NHL.com scout dudes saying a Finnish Junior B goalie who is 5'10 and never played in a tournament would go 16th overall |

C'mon Steinley...you know that you are contantly trying to legitimize yourself in an effort to pass your opinions off as fact.Your opinions are fine.No worse than the majority.Whats annoying is how you dont back up the opinions you pass off as fact when your challenged on them. Usually, when pressed, you just log off and go home. - Jeropotato
Okay, I will give you that I regret saying anything about my writing blogs or having any sources. That was stupid and I wish I could take it back. I am not on here trying to say my opinion is better than others. I am on here trying to talk hockey. I only defend myself when provoked. I like to brainstorm and a lot of the guys on here are great, with good ideas. Some are just on here to be jerks to other people.
Take Shooter for example. He just trash talked me. However it was funny. That is cool. Plus he didn't put a laughing face beside his own joke. Which would have negated the humor.
He probably doesn't like me but I have no problem with him.
Yourself, I have no problem with you. I keep trying to end a dispute you started a few weeks ago over nothing.
I do try to get facts for most of my points, however, I also do have to log off at times. I am at work and when the call comes in, I log off.
You will see I tried to have facts for all my opinions today. Why don't you go after the guys that don't offer opinions. Just insults. Those are the people that make this forum the same old conversation. We are talking about the same thing because only a few of us on here are talking hockey. The rest are just being douches.
Which is their choice. It just makes things tedious on here. I am going to do my taxes now because I procrastinate. However, if you want me to back something up. PM me. I don't want you to think I skipped town. |

Stupid question (shocking I know) when are the final rankings out? The day/week before the draft? |

I disagree taking a shutdown dman top 10 if he doesn't have offensive upside. Two way dmen should be taken above. If zadarov doesn't have some offensive upside I say pass. |

He has some, but it's untapped, kind of like Tyler Myers or Jared Cowen (in his draft year). Depends on his development. He never plays on the PP because London runs a 5 forward/4 forward Maata PP everytime, so it leaves you wondering as he is already great defensively and very physical. |

Nah...I don't really need you to go back to your fictional story about how Kale Kessey used to be property of the Oil.You know you were wrong.Called me an idiot for not sharing your imagination of history, but that's fine. I will call you on silly comments about Mac T and Lowe. Based on your comments,I'm guessing you must be in your early 20's,and too young to remember the actual good work done by Lowe as GM,and Mac T as coach. You place too much emphasis on what they did post the 2006 SC run (which was mediocre at best). I know this is a what have you done lately business, but there most def is a cycle of peaks and valleys in the managing of a hockey club, and if all you know is the decent then your going to have a much narrower view. |

He's a good skater correct? Ive heard very mobile and mean. How's his breakout ability?
My worry is taking another ladi smid. Love smid, but not as a top 10 pick. Are there picks later in the draft where they could find a dman like zadarov?
What's risto offensive upside?
Nurse, Monahan or barkov please |

Zadorov mobile, big, big shot but not great accuracy, solid passing but isn't fancy (like a PP specialist would be) and will crush people.
Nurse has similar traits but is meaner with more offensive tendencies but less defensive skills.
Ristolainen, he's hard to predict, he's got that that all around package, big shooter and decent playmaker, could be a Seabrook with his physicality and build. |

We need a 2 way guy more than anything. I think Schultz will improve but for the most part his bread and butter will be offence. Shut down guys can be had, a guy with a blend of both is what we need. Whoever Petry is a poor mans version of is the guy we need. Or a guy like Chris Pronger who isn't Chris Pronger.
I don't care,it's like I said before, all we need is an experienced D that is big,Mean, closes the gap well, positions himself well, can make crisp passes to clear the zone and spring the offence, can skate with Yak and Hall, clear the front of his net, scare the sh!t out of people, anchor the PP and has a (frank)en rocket blast of a point shot.
Shouldnt be too hard to find. |

I never said it til today, but Hall is our best player, and I dig on the Nuge.
He's not just the best on our team, but the best LW in the game IMHO. |
