Fair enough. There are some regular trolls in here that kind of make everyone look bad.
- TheTaoOfSemenko

I didn't mean it that way. And I can see your frustration. Trust me, we deal with it all the time in our thread.

I got a ton of Oilers players in my keeper pool, so that should say how much I think of their team and future. Look on the bright side, the team isn't that far anymore from contention, and no matter what, at least you guys aren't as pathetic and horrible as the Flames!!

I just really dislike both their management groups, no troll. Just honest.

Thats funny coming from a cunucks fan. How much do you pay Edler, Beiksa, Ballard and Garrison?

Striet has more points than all Van dmen this year. He is top 10. with 86 blk shots
Last year still top 10 in points. 115 blk shts 1 Van dmen beat him by 2 points.

So if Striet is not Top tier, I would say that Vancouver has no top tier dmen either. Also since he finishes in the top 10, with your logic, less than 30 teams don't have top 10 dmen.

Watch Hockey, then speak.

That was just a brutal signing...wtf was Gillis thinking offering him that contract when his team has a massive cap issues. Reminded me a lot of the Jeff Finger signing the Leafs did when I first heard about it.

Streit had a couple great years like 5 years ago. Now his point totals are merely good, all while being a defensive liability and unphysical and on the wrong side of 35. How does he help this team?
- sanfordnson

Still top 10. On the Islanders.

It helps in many ways. He knows Kruegers coaching style If we are keeping him as a coach, might as well have a dman that can play it.

He is a veteran dman that adds leadership to our blue line and would be someone that can help Petry and Justin.

He is another puck moving defense man with an offensive side that plays great defensively. He hits, he blocks shots and he makes few mistakes.

Plus, he might not just be our only hope at a top tier dman he is the only one we will get without giving up a bunch. You all saw what dmen went for at the trade deadline.

Dude do you think if (they probably will) Florida takes Jones Colorado may trade down and grab maybe Nurse or another D man?
- whipper334

Florida, Colorado, TBay, Carolina, Edmonton (despite what Clouts says), Philly all want D. With only 4 really good Dmen available top ten there could be lots of movement.

Bahahaha, your serious? Striet is better then Ballard and maybe as good as Garrison. Bieksa and Edler are miles ahead of Striet. Sounds like perhaps u should watch some hockey rather then look at stats

I think you are Clouts....just as stupid....
- Iggysbff

Another well thought out argument. I can see you point of view here. Obviously this took all of your mental prowess to come up with as I see you used one of the pretty faces on the right again. However we are paid writers and you are someone that I never see offer a solution. Rather you just put down everyone's ideas. Takes a brave man to speak his mind. Even braver when it is a small one.

You know I still don't like the signing. But 9 goals and plus 18 is pretty solid even after a terrible 1st month of the season.

Streit is not the answer. As I said...I think you must be Clouts alt account...

See you are use to a team that thinks Edler is good and Booth should get 4 mil, so I can see where you think he might. Clarkson could get 6 but there are not that many teams out there that are able to offer it to him. Even the Oilers with cap room wouldn't do it long term. Maybe PHO?
- bsteinley

I'm sorry but if you don't think Edler is worth 5 mill then you have never watched a game of NHL hockey. That contract is a steal for Vancouver

For all in favor of trading the 1st this year, what number two centre can we acquire rather than drafting a Monahan or barkov?

Would Philly listen for that pick plus a second or third for schenn? Any other centres we can target?

Does buffalo listen to gagner and both of our seconds for Myers? Maybe the 2014 first instead of the seconds?

Because everyone here is sick of you. We all just want you gone. Why don't you go to the Nuck board since you say you watch every game of theirs and blog about them....

You would fit in really well with all of the other nucktards...

I'm in favour of trading the pick. But I would rather put it towards a D-Man. Possibly one of St.Lou's if they have to make changes due to the cap, or maybe for a guy like Zach Bogosian.

There are few canuck games I miss. Very few. Them and the Oilers are the teams I need to watch. I like Bieksa, I don't like Edler defensively. I think he coughs up the puck too much and he is often caught out of position. He is good but not a top 30 defender in the league.

I don't think stats hold all the answers but they do have some relevance. You simple can't dismiss Striet because you don't know him.

Now Myers
Now you may be on to something. The 1st is a must in the deal. Miller and Myers for Yaks and the 1st

I think NYR played good without Staal Last year. I think they could part with thim. I don't think they will. Plus I think Carolina is collecting the whole set. Might be something to moving him there.

Why is everyone so worried about the 2C role? Gags is not the perfect 2C but is doing very good. 2C is NOT an area where the Oil MUST upgrade. It would "be nice to upgrade". The 2 big holes are 2LW and top 2 D. Deal with those 2 issues above anything else.

No interest in Miller from Edmonton. Performance in decline, yaps too much, makes too much...there are better, cheaper options. I like Myers tho
