I too am rooting for both Columbus and Colorado! Nothing better than increasing our odds. The only other thing that would make this weekend would be the announcement that Regier has been fired.
I have never been a bigger Columbus and Colorado fan than I am today.....If it goes right.....2 shots at the lottery!!!!!
EDIT - add Flyers too - that would move us up another spot.... - JustOneCupPlease

Back in SF, had three Russian River Pliny The Elders last night, SF Beer festival today.
Oh, and Minnesota is in real danger of missing the playoffs. |

This may sound crazy, but Pominville getting hurt was bad news for them too. He pretty much has singlehandedly kept them in the race thus far to begin with. |

Feel bad for him, really. Kind of also for Minnesota overall.
But then, at the same time, not really.
Oh, here's the lineup tonight: http://www.sfbeerfest.com/beer.html

How many days were you even home? I guess you're at least racking up the frequent flyer miles. |

To LA last Wednesday, home Saturday am, out Friday afternoon, back Tuesday. JetBlue thinks I love them now. |

At least it's JetBlue. I'd never flown with them until my vacation last month. I don't know that I can ever fly on another airline again. |

I am glad that Hecht is retiring, the writing is on the wall for him that he has seen better days 10 years ago. I know a lot of people have beat him up over the last 3 or 4 years however the fact still remains in his prime he was a good 2 way forward who played hard. |

The legroom nails it for me. I have to tie myself in a pretzel to sit in a normal airplane seat. Tvs don't suck either. |

Agreed, good on Jochen. Always really liked the guy and for a while he was a very valuable asset you could slot in various areas of the lineup based on need.
Similar to the Miller situation - the issue was he spent far too much time in the top 6. When they had him playing center for a whole season he became a flash point for fan frustration with Ruff. But that was really more on Darcy and Lindy than Jochen, who was being a good soldier, doing what he was told.
Wish him all the best, and will always have a round of applause for him at alumni events. |

The legroom isn't a big deal for me. But I'm only 5'7" so I tend not to have problems with that stuff. The TVs are pretty fantastic. I also like that they don't throw a tiny little bag of peanuts at me, seeing as how I can't eat them. |

I'm glad to see him retire. I had these terrible feeling all season he was going to get hit, end up with another concussion, and not remember the names of his children. I'd rather see him leave the game on his terms and not because he can't remember his own name anymore. |

Yeah, suppose I'm happy he could go out on his own terms like this. |

I'm cheering for Philly, New Jersey, Columbus and Colorado today. Each of those teams winning helps the Sabres in the draft.

As much as I've been screaming "We need to get rid of Miller" the past month, I know I'm gonna miss him dearly. |

Isn't the only team who can pass us in the standings Philly?

Speaking of which, it seems obvious to me that they will buyout Briere, should we take him back?
I wouldn't hate it. |

It would just be nice if JetBlue flew somewhere more out west from Buffalo (Chicago, Denver, or even Detroit) so that you didn't have to change planes in Boston or NY and get a 3 to 4 hour flight to the west coast. |

True, but flying anywhere from Buffalo is a female dog. Plus, my company is hq'ed near Boston, so that's stupid convenient. |
