Like a newborn baby after a couple of years. Excited when he first arrived but after years of the crying and complaining you can't wait for them to grow up and move on.

Flyers fan here, Miller to me is a stud. Never forget the Olympics. He's one of my favorite goalies to watch.

im a goalie and i once LOVED miller.

i remember miller in the black jersey and the entire arena chanting "USA" during a game right after he was snubbed for the olympic team.

i remember him stealing game 2 against ottawa in the 06 series with 43 saves.

i remember being reminded of hasek several times during the vezina season.

the olympic run...

unfortunately his attitude/comments have since eroded all of this for most sabres fans- myself included.

its time...

And Vancouver fans think Luongo will be moveable in the off season? Add Miller to the list of good goalies that will be available this summer.

Likely the best option out there for a contender that needs help in the crease.

Miller was/is a fantastic goalie.

Hasek was one of the best goalies ever.

It's really that simple.

as the 2nd best goalie this frachise has ever had. It will be hard to beat his number of wins for this team. The face of teh franchise, the face of American Hockey.

Like it or not, he made Buffalo relevant.

.....He was also weird looking

I think using his attitude as an excuse makes it to complex. The team didn't win with him, for whatever reason, its time for him to take on a new challange.

That we wasted most of his prime years because we didn't have a GM that knew how to recognize, build, and surround him with enough talent...

I still think Miller's a top goalie, but it does us no good to keep him to basically to di some sort of fake REBUILD... I don't blame him for any of his comments. I actually support him because he's one of the only guys on the team to do it. I look forward to hearing his anti-Darcy comments once he's officially dealt-- cuz it sounds like he, Pommer, and Vanek all wish they would've had better roster moves--especially over the last 2-3 years...

Your fans better remember him well....he's the only reason the sabres ever went anywhere while he was on the team.

I'll remember him as a whiny little sissy always calling out his team to the press. Wherever he goes next, he needs to keep his mouth shut and his eyes on the puck. Nobody's paying him to hear him run his mouth.

Anyone have a vid of Miller's save on Spezza? The "Miller!!! Stops 'em cold!" one? It's by far my favorite Miller save. It's in the compilation in the blog, but it's not the same without the RJ call.

Best in the world is a bit much. I know Buffalo fans paint Hasek as the end all be all but lets face it it was a diffrent game then with the clutch and grab play that was going on. Plus the guy froze the puck every 30 sec. no matter where it was on the ice. Alot of rules had to be made because of his play style that goaltenders today can't do so it is hard to say how Miller would have truly comparied I belive. Now you may all start my crucifixtion for putting down Hasek.
- bcbanger

Yes, the game was different, but Hasek was the best goalie in the world for a several year stretch.
