A lot of pundits like to predict radical shifts in power but change usually comes far more subtly. With the realignment next season should be interesting to watch unfold. I'm still not even sure how the seeds get made.

Raymond's UFA and this summer is Hansen's extension year so tying that anchor around their asses would limit their bargaining power. AV came up with the idea, Gilman endorsed it and Schroeder was history.

More than a few Canucks prospects were either in the press box or the bottom
6 in favour of AHL vets that didn't deserve their spots.
