Gagner + 2013 1st for Buff? - sanfordnson
Isn't Gagne an RFA? Add a conditional pick or sign and trade. What did the jets trade to get him in the first place? |

Good offer. They're lacking C depth and throwing in a #5-10 pick would at least start a serious conversation.
A question: why are the Oilers (or at least EDM media/fans) so interested in dealing Gagner? I understand if they bring in a bigger two-way #2 C, but there's no guarantee that trade can be made. |

it's gonna be reaally sad when EDM loses 4-0 to the Chicago Wolves tonight - TheNugeIsHuge
Most of the Wolves aren't even Canucks property. Oilers look like a good bet to beat the "Press Box Allstars". |

Not to be overly picky, but most on the Wolves roster are Canuck property—they're just sitting in the press-box most nights (undeservedly in several cases) in favour of AHL vets on strictly AHL contracts, because Arniel is an idiot.
But I think that's pretty much what you meant?

We could use a good defensive, face off man, with great leadership. I wonder where we could find a guy like that. Maybe Manny Maholtra knows |

So true. The injury just won't let him play to his capabilities. I don't think MG screwed him because he wanted to save some salary.
All I want is a centerman that is calm and cool in the defensive zone. In the great leadership catagory, a player who has the same calming effect on his line mates. Tired of the scramble, specially late in the 3rd. |

Oh I seriously hope so. Unfortunately Arniel, and a few of his assistants are actually employed by the Canucks, and not the Wolves, themselves, which makes more than a few of his roster choices strange—but I did read that MG did finally lay the law down late in the season.
Seriously hope the Canucks sever ties with Arniel moving forward. |

You mean against 0 defense Houston? Might be a tad different against a decent team. Houston is a perfect team for OKC to play against. Same style just OKC is better at it |

I stated as much the other night. Someone assured me it was a cap thing and come playoff time Schroeder should get the call. I (frank)ing hope so. |

He stated that he was happy in DET. Has 2 years remaining on his contract. If he ever becomes available and Gillis doesn't make an offer 1 second later MG should be pushed out of a moving vehicle. |

STL is now confirmed for 4th seed. The loser of LA-SJ will play us.
Side topic: I know we respect our anonymity here but just thought I'd throw it out there - if anyone's interested in meeting up somewhere downtown to take in a playoff game let me know. Would be cool to get a few of us together. |

Grizz-clippers will go 7 with Memphis winning. As I said. Houston is one of the worst if not they worst defensive teams in the league. Against a high powered guy like KD its a his match. Memphis on the other hand is the best defensive team in the league. Look at what Gasol and ZBo are doing to Jordon and Griffin. Durant would have Tony Allen all over him. Allen's probably a top 5 defensive player in the league. |
