I would like to see a top talent CB picked, trade up to get RB and then focus on qb to start to mold and safety... Same with honey badger.. If hes there by the 5th or 6th then get him.... Wouldnt mind barkley or smith |

Hopefully they will take any of them. We need to develop some WRs.
BTW..
If Buffalo beats the Islanders today, they'll be doing us a big favour!
Pittsburgh vs Islanders for the 1st round it is, and I'm happy with it - Orpik44
Be careful what you wish for. Islanders derailed the last great Penguins team... |

I would be happy with either the Islanders or the Senators in the first round. I think the only team in the east that can beat us in a series is the Rags - only because of the goalie. They are enigmatic though.

They have speed but the Pens would wear them down in a 7 game series. I want them or Ottawa. |

Since we're talking NFL Draft, a sleeper RB i would love the Steelers draft in like the 4th round is Latavius Murray out of Central Florida. Big, bruising back with some speed. Exactly the type of RB the Steelers need. |

Isle have been a thorn in the Pens sides on many occasions. I don't see that happening this year however. The only team I'd prefer to avoid is the Rags. Not that I don't think they'll beat them, I just think they're playing a tougher style since the deadline and I think it could get physical.
My preference is the Sens. If we get a healthy Sidney Crosby playing near the same level, it will just be a formality. |

I dont disagree.
The only thing I will say about the Islanders is that the Penguins PK is poor and the Isles PP is very good IMO. Fortunately the Penguins PP is really good and the Isles PK is in the bottom third of the league. |

Im so happy Steelers got Jarvis Jones. Id like for them to get a CB as mentioned before, but the options are very small in the 2nd, Id like to see them get Montee Ball in the 2nd, then look for a corner in the 3rd or 4th. |

How would you guys feel about taking Tyrann Mathieu in the 3rd round? |

Out of Ottawa, New York Rangers, or New York Islanders...I would prefer to play NYI first. The only advantage they have on us is speed, that's about it. |

Someone mentioned it before, what about Lattimore, the more I think about it, the more I like the gamble.
Im reading some real negative things on Ball, however Im reading some seriously good stuff about Giovani Bernard... they speak of him in an MJD comparison. |

To me, Pittsburgh needs a little of everything. They need a WR - I wouldn't mind Allen or Woods; they need a RB - Bell or Ball; OL; DB ... you name it.
Steeler RBs to me should be guys that can run over you. That is what makes Ball appealing.

Top talent CB's aren't as highly valued in a 3-4 defensive scheme as linebackers are. The pass rush is vital, most of the coverage behind the 3-4 is zone principles. |

I agree that they need a little bit of everything.
Side-note, fans shouldn't panic if they don't take a WR early, just look at Tomlin's history of success with drafting WR in the 3rd and beyond. |

What Im reading about Bell is that he might be too slow... in a Ron Dayne kind of way. Great for college, but just doesnt have enough burst and speed to do it on the next level.
But youre absolutely right, we need a little of everything. I just hope who ever they draft is productive, but this Bernard kid is very intriguing. |

To me, taking a WR is imperative, especially when you look at what's in next year's draft at the same position. It is not a good group. Underclassmen, like Robinson at PSU and the kid at USC and Clemson need to come out to make it decent. |

Im not at all panicing, matter of fact, Id rather they didnt take a WR early. Plus there seems to be a few talented guys in the 3rd and later. I like Kenny Stills and Ryan Swope in the later rounds. |

Taking a WR is fine, but depending on how the draft falls, there's no reason to rush and take one early. |

#Pens lines in early rushes: Dupuis-Jokinen-Iginla, Kunitz-Malkin-Neal, Morrow-Sutter-Cooke, Glass-Adams-Kennedy
Looks like Sid has Duper and Iginla on his wings. I like it... and like it even more that Kunitz is back with Malkin & Neal.
One curious thing to me, is if Sid is back on Game #1, why not just put Jeffrey in his place for tomorrow, and let Jokinen slot in where he is going to be to start the playoffs? Give 3 lines a chance to play a full game together. |

with vitale, Jeffrey, Bennett and tk sitting...
sucks for Bennett he worked so hard just to get sat, but theres no where to slot him.. Just cant wait for next yr with him and sid together hopefully |

I'm OK with those lines as well ...just would like to see Glass sit once Sid is back.
Btw, I'm more than fine to play the Islanders in the 1st round. Rangers, IMO, would be tougher. Ottawa would be my 2nd choice. |
