You can´t buy out an injured player but who says he will still be injured when the buyout period begins. Just look at the Drury case.

You are correct sir. That's why they came up with the "Sather rule" this year to allow the buyouts to happen this year. Otherwise, both Gomez and Redden were going to be paid to stay home so they would be healthy, and therefore eligible to be bought out.
