Drafted players have 3 years at crazy low salary, fla still needs more TOP end talent on offense and maybe some more size. Great bottom 6 and some good Dmen.

Drouin imo would be perfect for you

- Meeqsb

Drouin is the best player in the draft for forwards.

Hey Fla fans, if Weiss decides to leave and MGMT decides to draft an offensive player instead of Jones then it makes perfect sense to trade down. Who would you try and trade down with and what trade would you choose?
- Meeqsb

I have IMO a pretty decent move that would help both teams. We exchange picks and you guys receive Flash for Stastny. so we can replace Weiss and pick up Drouin and you guys get your Dman you so badly need.

But I was talking to Versteeg the other night and I get the feeling that Weiss will be re-signing by the way he was talking about the team next year.

I would do that trade, Fleischmann's and Duchene's chemistry was unreal when we had him, now add Parenteau into the mix and that's gold. Plus I feel even if Stastny's value is a bit higher than Fleischmann's since he is a center, Jones would balance out the value, we already have Duchene and O'reilly anyway and we really need Jones.

Flash doesn't want to play in Denver because the high altitude has negative affects on his illness, that was one of the main reasons avs didn't resign him.

This isn't true. Both he and his agent said he was cleared to play anywhere. Even prolonged time at a high altitude.

Of course the biggest reason is the Panthers took a big risk signing him for way more money than the avs did.

Still though I cant see Avs MGMT trading for and previous players. How about Shore?

I think shore stays even though he hit a big wall this year. I think he will be a solid player for us next year.

Dan Spiegel: Dale Tallon's Job In Jeopardy?
- spiegs13

I sure as hell hope so!
Because teams would be lining up and firing their current GM to sign him.
He built Chicago, and built a team that won their division last year... injuries have done you guys in this year
To say his job is in jeopardy is absolutely foolish!
You will draft Jones and start from there.
I'd look at trading with Detroit since they never seem to have their 1st round pick, and go for that pick as well

Glad most of you realize injuries killed us this season. Sucks that we have Huberdeau and Mueller... two guys who would have helped us win all those shootouts we lost last season.. but we could never get to the damn shootout!

Bjugstad and Howden will develop. I love Mueller, and I think Weiss comes back. However, in my honest opinion, it is time Tallon takes some of his prospects, and deals them for some real top line talent.

Ended the season on a high with a win in Tampa.

Congrats to Huberdeau for leading all rookies in points with his 3 assists tonight.

Congrats to Bjugstad for getting his first career goal, should go into the summer with a lot of confidence.

Congrats to Shore for playing so tough this season, look forward to seeing you grow.

Upshall and Kuba really need to go.

Here's to looking forward to the draft!!!

Go Blackhawks or Ducks!!! rooting for both to win it this year. East I'd like either the Islanders to surprise ppl or Boston to win.

And yet if things were reversed you guys would be doing the same thing. You're crazy if you think the players tank on purpose. As fans, we know our team is out of the race.. so we want the highest pick possible. I don't remember seeing you troll the Oilers' blogs the last FOUR years. Go away.. besides, your GM would frank up the pick anyway

Dude! Seriously? Enjoy the pick and enjoy missing again. I agree Calgary needs help, but our owner instead of looking at relocation is looking at making our team better.

I hope you're just kidding around. There's been no pressure, the guys salary is a joke and is probably the only reason he stays. Not one team will shell out that kind of money for a guy who doesn't produce for shyt.

3 goals 1 assist in 26 games. Guy never plays a full season and he gets paid the same salary as Matt Duchene of the Av's. I'm just making a very valid point.

but like most panther fans, you think because he scored a goal tonight means he's going to be solid next season. I doubt he plays 40 games next year, it's too bad Tallon has to over pay below average guys to come play in FLorida. This wouldn't be the case if there was a winning team in Sunrise.

The Florida moving argument is so baseless it isn't even funny. The BB&T Center pulls in stupid money, and it will only be increasing once the Casino is built. The lease through Broward County is nothing but solid, and does tons to benefit the surrounding communities and the Everglades, which is a huge wildlife preserve. The owners of the team are Boca Raton businessmen.. and have their companies and families located within a stones' throw of the team. You're an idiot. You're jealous, and I get it.. we have the first over all pick. What's sad.. and maybe you're refusing to notice on purpose.. is that our attendance picked up by quite a bit this year.

I can guarantee you one thing... whomever we pick in this years' draft will play in the NHL much sooner than Mark Jankowski

And for the record, do you not think that we would rather be playing playoff hockey? Do you not think that I would rather be keeping my jersey's out of the closet than storing them for the next five months? We're pissed off that we didm't make it. The fact of the matter is, we were too hurt to compete. Get over it. No Panthers' fan has any animosity towards the Flames, so I'm a little confused as to why you're so angry.

Well that Ballard idiot trolls on his own boards as well and has caused some commotion on here for us.

On another note. The Panthers will resign Weiss! He wants to return and Tallon wants him back, so it's just a matter of time before they hammer out a deal. I personally, wouldn't mind Weiss back at all. He may not be a true 1st line center, but we can all agree that when He, Steeg, and Flash were healthy, they had a hella'va line. I can see Tallon trading down a spot *if/when* we win the lotto to possibly Col for the #2 pick and another pick or decent prospect. I believe Tallon wants to draft Mackinnon considering he has stated over and over that we need more offensive help and from what I've read, Mackinnon isn't a kid you pass up on.
