Wow some big surprises for me in the NA skater rankings... the Euro skaters are good, as are the NA goalies--- but the NA skaters are totally whacked.
Shea Theodore #11 overall for NAS? He's been projected as a late 1st/early 2nd the entire time so far, and Zadorov has been top 10... and he's down to #22
idk how possibly a 6'5 225 pouind monster 17 year old who plays on a top CHL team can possibly be ranked that low but w/e... Zadorov is a lock for top 15 IMO. If he drops even out of the top 12 whoever gets him will be considered a steal. Kid has talent. And will probably end up being atleast 6'6, maybe even 6'7, and around 230-240 pounds. Kid is a (frank)ing giant. #22

reddit is great, the front page is the worst part. Being able to find a community for each little hobby or like of yours is pretty nice. There's a subreddit for nearly everything.

I'm not a fan, not even a little bit. Not to say everything about it is utterly terrible, but I've never liked big forums.

To be fair, though, they did a bang up job of solving the Boston bombing

Its just like anything, if you look for bad parts, you'll find them. And just like any website or forum its easy to lump all into the characteristics of a few.

The day they caught the second alleged bomber, I kept the reddit.stream of the Boston police channels on my screen all day. Its fascinating what large groups of people with technology can do.

There's something to be said for the idea that the out of contention teams have players playing for contracts/jobs next year and the playoff teams that have clinched are kind of going through the motions.

I was just thinking about this.

I guess I would rather be Washington, on a hot streak going into the post season then Montreal who look like they might be on a path for an early exit.

Watch the opposite happen, the Habs go deep and the Caps get knocked out.

I know I'm being a bit unfair, but I personally don't care for reddit or forums like it. I think that 'memes' are beyond stale, too. I'm sure some posters familiar with my posting can point out how hypocritical that is for me to say, but I digress.

As for the Boston thing, I was referring to how they 'found' the wrong guy (Sunil Tripathi), then patted themselves on the back for their hard work. Crowdsourced internet sleuthing is an easy path to a misguided witch hunt, and can harm efforts by the authorities.

Makes sense as there's been a number of these 7 or 8 seed "upsets" occurring year after year anymore.

Well, I'm not here to bicker or defend reddit really but to be fair, if you don't like memes, you can unsubscribe to the meme heavy subreddits like r/AdviceAnimals and still enjoy the rest. I think the key to enjoying reddit is to have an account and have it set up so you only see the content you want.

Regarding the unfortunate incident with Sunil, I think its unfair to broadstroke the whole website for the immature over reaction of a few. reddit has a strict policy regarding personal information and the way that subject took off was very against it. I don't think you'd see something like that take off again.

Like I said though, arguing isn't my thing, if you don't like reddit that's cool, we're all allowed to dig our own stuff.

My level of respect went up several notches for Shawn Thornton last night.
He could have killed Rosehill when he was turned around, but he didn't.
Really cool move on his part.

On the other hand I still hate Marchand.

Love watching Gusty's confidence grow with each game.
Lauridsen too. He moves pretty well for a guy his size, and seems to have a good one timer.

Lilja was very solid last night. Great to see after all the flack he gets.

Hartnell and Read are getting into their groove, post injury. Too bad it's too late, but nice to see for those two. Really tough year for Hartnell.

Also the top line with Gagne looks dialed in.

Briere's last two games as a Flyer?
Let him center Gagne and Knuble for old times sake.

I hate not having them in the play offs, but it is not bad to watch the games without my blood pressure going through the roof.

So here is a question, What would you be willing to trade (if anything) to move up in the draft for Seth Jones? Or Second question, what would you give up to move a couple spots up to Guarantee getting Nurse. Do you think either of those players are so much better than the competition that they are worth some other picks or prospects?

I didn't mean to say you can't like it, but I don't like big forums either way. I've used forums with tag functionality and all that, it's just not for me. I like a smaller set of posters.

I don't mean to use the Boston thing as a broad 'stamp of failure' on all of Reddit, but I sincerely doubt it won't happen again. If there was already a policy against it, yet an entire subreddit came to fruition and did this regardless, I have no doubt it will happen again next time an incident of this magnitude comes up.

Different strokes, anyways. It's not just reddit I don't like, it's big forums. Well, that and grossly derivative internet humor. But I'll quit my fist shaking and let you be.

I don't know if anyone can realistically answer that until we know where we are drafting. Once the teams have slots then you can figure out which teams would make good dance partners for us and go from there...

I might be in the minority here, but I hope they pass on re-signing Hall. Yes, he's been good on faceoffs, on the PK and has been generally effective at ES, but they've got several guys in the pipeline who are under contract who could fill that role. Re-signing Hall would only add redundancy and contribute to the perennial smash against the 50-contract-limit.

Ben Holmstrom is more than primed for the 4th-line pivot spot. He's everything that Hall is, but younger. If he hadn't been hurt at the beginning of this season, he might have made the squad.

Laughton is another candidate... ideally you don't want him to be on the 4th-line, but there's nothing wrong with initiating him in baby steps.

Then there's Talbot, whom Hall was brought here to fill in for... he'll be healthy next season, and while he's probably more ideal as a winger, he's definitely capable of centering an energy line.

- Tomahawk

No Way. I don't like the way they handle Coots at all. Putting a young guy like Laughton on the 4th line is a waste of his contract and potential. Young players need ice time to improve, they won't improve on 5-6 mins a night

Nice win...
keep the core together.
I would re-sign G A G N E for 2 mil for 2 years...
I would re-sign Hall to take the place of Rusty.

Beyond that...it appears it's the same as it ever was...

Love the spongebob post...
