This isn't an advanced stat. Giroux has taken more faceoffs this year than any other player in the league. Having another forward who can win 55%+ of his faceoffs is essential.

I think it's clear who knows what their talking about. So you just refuted your own point. If a player is ready, the Flyers just like any team, brings them up and inserts them into the lineup. Just like they did with McGinn, Rinaldo, and Gustafsson. And given players like Wellwood playing time, even in the playoffs. And players like Gustafsson, McGinn, and Holmstrom will get the opportunity to prove they're ready in training Camp in the Fall.

And to be clear, I did not state that I was against giving kids depth jobs on the team. I clearly stated that I wanted a veteran proven PKer who was good on faceoffs in that 4th line Center role.

Sure is. And I'd like to know how many of those faceoffs are defensive zone draws. So if you take even half of those defensive zone draws, and turn them into offensive zone draws. Would that be good or bad for the Flyers? But I've been told I don't know what I'm talking about. lol
