Why are there no optimists left here. We play chicago, then FLY to Minnie for a game then play Van the next night. The odds of us winning another game with Hemsky and RNH injured are slim. We are in 5th right now. Nashville plays detroit and columbus. 1 win and we are in 4th. Tampa plays the already clinched boston and toronto. Then they finish against the last placed team florida. 2 of 3 and we are in third. Which gives us about a 15% chance during the lottery. First place has 25%. I say bring on Jones!

No once we have 10 million wrapped up in 3 goalies. 20 million wrapped up in 5 dmen (where only 2 of them are good) and another 20 mill wrapped up in Kesler, both and and two small swedish guys that look a like... then and only then will we be contenders. Doesn't matter if we don't have 9 other forwards. Its been winning cups for Van for years now.

Let's do it. Flames have been denying a rebuild for like 3 years. If Craig MacT makes good and smart moves this off season, we are as good as making it.

Then they win the cup in 9 games. After the Caps win the cup, they'll probably take on the Miami Heat for the NBA championship and sweep them too.

They could and I don't think it would matter. The only high picks that help them are 1 and 2. Other than that they will take Barkov or Monahan. One will be available even if they win all their games. However I think Oilers management has been playing players on the bubble to see who they are resigning next year. I think that might be the flavor of the week. I would have liked for them to try to win. See if they couldn't give Nail/Justin a chance at the calder but they don't seem to care. Its not a big deal to anyone but the player and the fans anyways.

Win or lose they will pick someone they need that won't help them for a year or two. Where I think almost all of us here would prefer that pick go for a player that is ready for the lineup now.
