Haha, Alfredson with a two hander to Bortuzzo's face. And Cooke is a bad guy.
Alffy should get suspended for that, Neil should get suspended for charging at Despres from 20 feet away. Those were blatant attempts to injure.
Yep Cooke does that its probably 20 games. - Sell My Monkey
Alfredsson committed one of the lower class moves I have seen in some time when he intentionally fired a slap shot point blank into Niedermayer after the buzzer in 2007 SCF

I agree (I remember that), completely classless. Anaheim was none to pleased at the time. Video below, start around 30 seconds.

Malkin returns to the lineup tonight vs BUF #Pens
Looks like Letang and Fleury are in as well. - ursomp71
It's a start, very nice to get Geno back, hope he is near 100%. Tanger is always a big boost to the transition game. Flower wasn't an injury concern, but its nice to have him in there.

Sounds like when Neal lost it against Philly. Frustration in the playoffs can lead to some dumb moves. Last night was kind of a playoff game for the Sens, but yea I do remember that slapper.
so ovi's +/- has dropped from a +2 to 0 in the last week. just 14 even strength goals. I hate how everyone sees the basic stats of points and goals and immediately think hes the greatest player.

Ok. Is 'trolling' just posting in a another team's thread? Cause if so...well, I don't even do that all that often. - wolfhounds
No trolling isn't just posting in another team's thread. But what you post in here is. I'm just waiting for you to bring up the time that Malkin almost elbowed Giroux.

Sorry I'm late to the party gents. Brennan is a joke of a writer from a joke of a rag that passes itself off as a newspaper. He once wrote that teh Sens should try to injury Crosby during a playoff series several years ago.
Its also amusing to me how he takes Cooke to task for not fighting a bigger man (Neil) while he never mentions that Neil is good at pushing around smaller guys or guys who he knows won't go with him...but as soon as he gets challenged by Macintyre or Murray, he backs down like they coward that he is.

What I post here? I'm getting the feeling you think you've got me pegged and I post in the Pens thread often. Your bar is set quite low if you think I'm a troll.
I fail to see how talking about an actual event makes one a troll.
Do Pens fans ever tire of talking about Philly fans, batteries, Santa Claus, etc? Trolls all, right?
At least I stick to hockey and the players, not the fans. (unless I'm offering a rebuttal to one of the above comments.)

I can't agree more when it comes to Brennan. The guy is the biggest joke and if anyone around Ottawa had their say he would be put in front of a net, stripped naked and every player in the NHL would line up for a slapshot regatta!
As for Neil though, I have to disagree. Neil has fought any of the top fighters out there. He actually fought Chara earlier this year. I'm not going to sit here and call him a saint, because he isn't. Having said, Chris Neil is no spring chicken anymore, he doesn't fight all the top fighers anbymore because thats what we brough Kassian in for. Neil is one of the inspirational leaders on the team, and thats what we need him for. If its with a big hit or a fight, Neil will throw down. As a Pens fan though, you really should refrain from calling any player a coward with Cooke out there. I know in the past two years he done quite a bit to improve his image and he has, but that doesn't make amends for the countless dirty hits his career has been defined by (just ask Marc Savard)

Ok I lied.. Stop with the Neil on Mcintyre.
Neil has showed time and time again that he will fight anyone. He's fought Chara 3x for god sakes and hasn't lost one of them.
Maybe Neil didn't fight McIntyre cause the guy isn't an NHLer. Ever think of that? Maybe Neil didn't want to break his hand (or his face) in a fight with a guy who can't play hockey? It's the same reason why other tough guys turn down fights with Kassian or McGratten. They aren't even hockey players ffs. - Charliebox
OK, I call bullpoop. You can't keep coming in here female doging that Cooke wouldn't drop the gloves against a bigger guy like Neil and then not apply the same standard when Neil runs and hides from Macintyre and Murray last night when challenged, which is what he did.
FWIW, you are only teh 3rd most embarrassing troll that Ottawa has to offer. You have a long way to go to catch up with Melnyk and Brennan.

A couple of things....
No pts and -2 last night in 7 mins of TOI......how inspiring!
You're right, no spring chicken, but he WAS a chicken. That was embarrassing last night.

I don't think any of us would disagree with you that Cooke has sinned in the past. For what its worth he fought Thornton after the Savard incident IIRC. My comments about Neil stand. He spends a lot more time chasing guys that he knows won't go with him, but usually when challenged by a fighter, he backs down. And OF COURSE he fought Chara. Chara really isn't a fighter and he's a top defenseman in the league. Ottawa wins by getting him off the ice, and Neil knows this.
I hope Sid pounds Orpik's face in when he comes back for hitting him with that slapper last month. Or maybe we can bring up Big Mac to fight the puck. Freaking skunk.
You know who really needs to step up and pay for his or her crimes, whoever made Tanger the rotten shrimp roll that gave him food poisoning. They need to pay. No balls I tell you no balls at all.
I want justice for the infection that Staalsy got in the hot tub 2 years ago, the person that was responsible for cleaning that tub can expect to be beaten with a shoe.

Well I see your point, naturally having watched Neil and the sens more then you (no insult intended), I would have to agree to disagree. Without Kassian in the lineup who is our 'tough guy'? Zach Smith...nope. Prior to Kassian in the lineup we really didn't have any meat head types who are just out there to throw punches, someone like Colton Orr comes to mind. Speaking of Orr, Neil fought him as well this year. Either way, fans from other teams don't like Neil, and I can understand why, but I wouldn't paint him as negatively as you have. He is no saint, but he isn't a coward. When challenged he will fight. Either way, I have a ton of respect for the Pens, and I have them as many do as the favs for the cup.
Do me a favor dildo boy. Sit down and watch matt Cooke play hockey. Not just twice a year but every game from the past 2 seasons. Then you would realize that he is a very good hockey player and not a goon at all. But you won't. You will just listen to what people say and adopt their opinions instead of doing the research and making your own "informed" opinion about the guy. He has scored 20 goals before and is an excellent penalty killer. Comparing matt Cooke and Hitler?GGo (frank) yourself - bigwhite
I'd defintiely agree that since the heat came down on Cooke he has become a much more impactful player in a good way. I don't blame him for what happened to Karlsson, it was a freak accident. Cooke showed even last night that he has some solid skill and is far more then a Kaleta type.
