Anyone else starting to get really worried about the Sid injury?
- nbartley9

Yeah... I'll feel much better when he is back in the regular practice, even if it's in a limited role.

It's strange, the teams considered the second and the third best for most of the season (Boston & Montreal) both look less formidable than Washington, or even the Islanders and Rangers recently (although the Rangers somehow lost to Florida last night).

I want Boston vs Rangers in the first round. Get rid of one of those teams early.

I really want the Pens to play the Sens.

I'm concerned they won't have him for some or all of the first round. Just listening to the fan and Cooke was saying it appears that his jaw is simply not healed yet and they don't want to take any chances.

I'm not concerned that the problem has anything to do with concussions. He has been skating for a week or two.

- madmike71

Yeah the FAN is painting a pretty bad picture for Sid.

No practice today, and game day skate in Jersey tomorrow.

I'm guessing Sid will skate today, but we probably won't see a change in any of the injured guys statuses until Friday unless they take that day off as well.

Good news is that they end the season on the 27th, then won't have game one until at least May 1st. That is 3 practice days before the playoffs.

Since the Jets are pretty much done, yes I'd like to play the Senators and beat the hell out of them. I wanna make Alfie lose his cool and try to shoot the puck into Murray and Neil look like an ass.

They annouced that the first day of the playoffs will be Tuesday, April 30. I have a feeling the Pens will be playing opening night

you're right, the Black Keys are playing that night. I was gonna go to that concert. Pens will most likely be opening Wednesday night.

For f@ck's sake, he's scored 20 goals in 46 games, works his ass off, and the team has won 22 of the last 25 games (with Dupuis having 25 points in those games), and you still complain about him. Last night he also was responsible for creating a bunch of turnovers and winning loose pucks to even set up his scoring chances. And oh yeah, he was stopped by Ryan Miller, in case you forgot, he's a damn good goalie.

Next time Sid, Geno, Neal or Iggy don't bury a bunch of good chances they have in one game, I'm going to want them moved to the third line as well.

Yet you suggest putting Beau Bennett with his 3 career NHL goals on that line over a 20 goal scorer. Dupuis has more goals int he past two seasons than Patrick Kane, Claude Giroux, Bobby Ryan, Daniel Sedin or Jaromir Jagr. I'm willing to bet that you consider those guys as players who can finish?

Ok... I've calmed down now...

Winnipeg (frank)ed up their chances by losing last night.

Senators - 52 pts, 3 games left
Rangers - 52 pts, 2 games left
Jets - 51 pts, 1 game left.

Get ready for the Rangers boys. This will be a tough/physical battle.

- Orpik44

Ottawa can easily slip behind the Rags. As long as Washington plays; they could lose all three. Washington, Philly and Boston isn't an easy final three.

Yes, early on they made it sound like 3 to 4 weeks. However this could last well into the playoffs (assuming we pass a round or 2).

Any word on Oprik?

Amazing. He could play with a face mask if he wanted to but I guess they are overprotecting him because we are talking about the best asset in the game today. Not saying he should play now but in the 1st round? Absolutely.

Best added player this year so far go..

Murray seems to me have settled down a D-core in a way that I never expected. He is my pick.

- nbartley9

Hands down, Mark Eaton. Hes the one who settled down our defense. We are what, 19-2 with him in the lineup?

Very underated move. Nobody thought Eaton would come back to Pittsburgh playing better than when he was there in his first stint.

Murray is just awessome and brings that physical dimension to the table

Read about this Black Keys band and apparently they have two very good songs: "Tighten Up" and "Lonely Boy". A garage band formed in 2001.

Yanni and his flute? Not even worth looking for any more info

Anyone remember the year that the Pens played the Caps when the Caps had home-ice advantage but had to play Games 2 and 3 in Pittsburgh because the Civic Arena was hosting something called "Burn the Floor" ? I know, Pens-Caps playoff series all run together with Pittsburgh typically coming back from a deficit to crush Washington.

Have no idea. How would the Fan know? This is like the numbnut three weeks ago that said he was having concussion problems again and that was quickly dispelled - the idiot from Philadelphia. Fact is, only the people in Pittsburgh know. No one in NY, Philly or the Maldive Islands know anything about his condition.
