I agree, but he does attack the puck. It is something Grigorenko is sorely lacking.
Grigorenko needs to push it into another gear when he is attacking. It is pissing me off watching him float. I realize he does not want to make mistakes and he might be a little nervous but gotta turn the corner.
Why would any team make the kind of trade u suggest?
No team is giving up a young star for an aging one, especially if Vanek is 2 or 3 "tiers" below the guy u want...
That's wishful thinking
We'll get a good return for him, but it's likely gonna be closer to the return we got from the pominville deal than it will be getting some young stud - jdfitz77
29 other teams would welcome Vanek with open arms. I see him fitting in nicely with Detroit, Edmonton Minnesota ect..teams needing a 30 goal scorer to make them competitive.
Vanek would easily get a 1st, 2nd and a stud prospect.

So apparently there was a game last night... I honestly didn't know that until I opened up this blog. Based on what I'm reading here it sounds like it wasn't an awful game, considering how awful we are against the Jets to begin with.
They might beat the Pens since the Pens have really nothing to gain but I don't see them beating the Isles, I guess we shall see.

He did end up in the net one time, so I wouldn't exactly call that floaating.

no need to pick on a single word....feel free to add what you would call it.
coast, watch the play, float.....and yes when the play is in the nutreul zone or Buffalo is in transition he is not asking for the puck or attacking the offensive zone.

lets hope they are not "resting" there players and hope Vanek is "injured" or Miller is in net

He just seems to be behind the play most of the time. I don't think it is necessarily floating. I see nothing in his play that tells me that he has any business being in the NHL right now.

I agree, but he was a lot better than his earlier stint here.
Vaneks suddenly got a fire under him again. The guys a major talent when his heads right.I just hope hes not playing hard to showcase himself for other teams.Id like to see him resigned this offseason if not move him now while he looks good.I could live with Miller being moved. We cant win enough games with him so why not lose with someone younger and cheaper.Great game last night at least the team showd up and fought hard.

If Enroths in net we have a chance against the Pens.Miller s horrible against the Pens they dont know Enroth.Id say we lose both meaningless games. The Pens are my favorite to reach the Cup.That is if Fleury doesnt lose his head again this post season.
