Man if the Leafs weren't so poop in the shootouts this year we would be in the division lead!

I agree with that. I think if they had signed mcclement, it would have went a long way. Komorov would have been good for them too.

I think Franson has been our BEST PLAYER/MOST IMPROVED however you want to word it..sure Komorov is a good forechecker..it would be nice if the guy had a clue where the net was...McClement is our forward MVP IMHO - he's lead the PK to tops in the league.

I hope the leafs get back to playing more of a puck possession game rather than scrambling like mofo's just to get it over the blue line and we can make some noise in the post season

I stated the last couple weeks ( their play ) So if you have been watching the same games as me..if the Leafs ( I know they are our fav team ) play like they have, they will be blown out EVERY game against the Bruins or Pens. Now if they get back to playing with some intensity and some care( like good parts of the season ) we will for sure give them a run for their money especially if the Pens still have a couple key injuries.
So I'm not sure why we are having this discussion unless you haven't watched them since the Jersey game and even including that game. cheers...I'm on your team...Team Disagree!

The season is a totally different animal than the playoffs. Everything good or bad you see in the regular season, throw it out the window. PLayoffs are a brand new season. Lemme tell u this, the Leafs can be a scary oppoenent for any team. If they should get past the 1st round & get some playoff swagger going, things could get very interesting in Leaf land.

Yup, even if we won 4 out of the 5 shootouts, we'd be tied with the Habs.

No need to worry for you fellas.

I'm looking forward to the playoffs too. Hoping for Leafs Habs.

Those are the key words.

I was just being realistic and I guess some leafers didn't agree or are in denial , but for sure if they can get back to playing like they have, they will be tough for almost any team.

Spot on.. fortunately no shoot-outs in the playoffs.. I think we have a better playoff team than a shoot-out team.

I can't believe we got Mark Fraser for little 5'9 career minor leaguer Dale Mitchell at last year's trade deadline. At the time, who knew who Fraser was. It looked like a trade made for Marlies depth. The deal seemed insiginificant. Now Fraser is a top 4 d man in TO who's been in the top 10 most of the season in plus/minus. AMAZING TRADE!!!

Realistic isn't comparing a 2 game span of losses to a 15 game streak where they one lost one... that is realism for you...

Realism is that we took 3 out of 4 points from the Bruins... Realism is that we have smoked the Habs.. & Sens.. some of the better teams in the league..

We caught two teams at their season high... the Caps and Isles.. that won't last for long.. that is reality...

Jesus, page after page of leaf fans patting each other on the back about how great the leafs are ( and who they will defeat in the 1st round even), you know, the team that barely made the playoffs in a shortened season...

Hawks have an awesome team... the best in the league... the mania around here would be insane.. but it will take a lot to get there... many will have to play out of their realm... and injuries will have to stay to a minimum...

Chances aren't likely.. but it would be awesome..

I love Fraser. No more fooling around in front of our net this year after the whistle. Fraser out there/McClaren/Orr

Plus Fraser has helped Franson as he can play a little more freely and doesn't have to scrum it up after the whistle either.

It's a shame how much sh*t Burke took for that trade and now it looks like a pretty damn good trade...

Totally agreed Fraser's major contribution has been to help Franson.. and with no fear of fighting.. he pounds guys now and plays a more simple game.. it has done him a world of good...

Now if we could only get someone to babysit Gardiner...

Classic rivalry series. Can't beat it. 6-7 game battle full of emotion.

Got my fingers crossed.

ok your lost..2 games?????...have you watched the last 5 games man????? wow!!!
I don't care what they did 2 months ago..I'm talking now, yes we caught 2 teams on a high...( coaches want their team on a high when heading into the playoffs.)

I don't want to copy and paste and then come in here after the playoffs and be a knob and say I told you so..but if you really think we are going to come outta the East it's no wonder people think Leaf fans are semi stupid!!!!!

IF they can get back to playing hockey like the middle of the year then yes we can make some noise..but 5 games of playing poopty ( poopty is being VERY NICE ) is nothing to ignore...obviously you are going to and that's your prerogative. I am just telling you what I have observed and you are obviously going to tell me it's the exact opposite..have a good evening - MAN DO I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!

They have sitting comfortably in 5th for quite a while. They were never in any real danger of missing the playoffs. I thought Ottawa would have clinched long b4 TO but now they are only 3 points ahead of 9th place Winnipeg. To all the non-BE LEAFers, I guess the only thing they have left to put down the Leafs is that they'll say "Leafs succeeded in a short season". I look forward to the Leafs making the playoffs next season to prove em all wrong once again.
