Yes it would, but I'm (as a B's fan) am hoping to see the Leafs vs Bruins in round 1. So Leafs vs Hawks in the finals probably isn't going to happen.

If you guys would quit losing.. we could have the series we want.. the first Leafs v Habs in 30 years or so.. another original six.. with their scalp we will gladly be ready to take the Bruins scalp... as we did to the Sens for years.. they beat us in the regular season and we scalped them in the playoffs..

This will be the year of Original 6's.. Pens overloaded but if we get through healthy.. we have made mince meat of the Pens.. although I have a feeling if they play the NYR in the first round.. then we could face either the Bruins or NYR's in the final.. and then off to Chicago.. healthy the Hawks are a good team probably the best.. but if we come into that series healthy.. it will be a battle.. and in 7 games I think we can scalp them...

Many dark horse players on this Leaf roster.. waiting for meaningful games...

Actually I thought it was a great idea.. team building.. the playoffs are upon us it is a shortened season with lots of bruises.. the team needs to buy into the system and each other... Reimer has proven himself.. the other guys have to unite.. for the big fight..

It only gets serious now.. so taking some time out to enjoy the flowers is what is needed to strengthen the attack.

Carlyle has been here before.. he knows what it takes.. an although not perfect.. there are many good parts to this team that if they get on a roll.. they just might be unstoppable...

Hey Leaf Nation, the Kool Aid's ready to go...

Most of the credit goes to Burke without a doubt, just not in the way many seem to think. The Leafs, for the first time in decades, have committed to internal development. Not being shy about sending a player down to the farm to continue to hone their craft, despite the urging of fans and media alike to try to do the best they can now. I have read so many posts, blogs, commentary that continue to profess that certain prospects will burn out and show their true colours (i.e. Kadri, Reimer, etc.). My question is simply why? Instead of patience and investment in training and development, it's simply luck. Instead of coaching style, it's a shortened season. Instead of ascension, it is illusion. I'm so sick and tired of hearing that nonsense. Too many fans see players as either elite or bust, which is ridiculous. The Leafs have FINALLY entered the grey area, and are young enough and well coached enough to take a step into the upper echelon in another year or two. A few more pieces need to be added or developed first, fortunately management has shown a willingness to wait and allow the players within to properly develop.
