Not only that....but we might have all eastern conference Canadian teams in this year! Go team Economy!

Even though I despise the Sens and Habs... it would be cool to have all the Canadian teams make it. Go Jets!!

you're both wrong..

hardest club to hit is any club on the 18th hole after drinking for the past 2 and half hours

This is also true...those long sunny sundays, after a beer per hole....gets tough to finish the round!

You know...this is one thing I havent actually considered. I might look into this a little further. Thanks
- Colin Dambrauskas

No worries!

I've read some great articles on the subject, and many pros have said that the longer driver shafts are merely marketing gimmicks to convince amateurs that they'll drive the ball further...which theoretically is correct, but it comes at the expense of ease of hitting the ball.

You can play 18 holes in 2 and half hours?

Or do you only start drinking after the first 90 minutes?

- faceto27

3 hours, 10 minutes was my fastest last year, playing with my nephew who was 2-under on a par 72.

This is the same nephew who actually played a couple games in net for the Guelph Storm a couple years ago

It sucks when someone is a 30-stroke better golfer than you. I am just hoping I can learn something!

I played a lot in my teens and early 20's. I finally got to the point where I never hit a wood. I became a real good 3-iron hitter.

The point is, I did exactly what you said. I ditched my woods altogether.

Last summer, after 25 years or so, I picked up golf again. I decided that once and for all, I would learn to hit a driver. I played at least one round a week and at least 1 session at the drivig range every week. I tried every change and tweak I could find.

Honestly, I can hit straight now. Once you get rid of the slice it is not a big deal to keep it off. The problem I am having is that I literally lost the ability to hit any other club and my scoring actually got worse even though my driving was much better.

This summer, it will be all about hybrids, and chipping.

Most important part of anyones golf game - 75 yards in.

It stands to reason, because not only did I adapt a slice when I altered my swing for my irons...but I got a new driver that year as a gift....brand new $300 driver....wonder if it was longer than my previous driver and I didnt notice.

(Ive gone through a few drivers since... )

Apparently the availability details for the tickets will be outlined today. They should have a press conference where the Leafs brass does the Mr. Burns and Smither money fight and just start throwing packs of bills at each other while giggling.

It is a tough lesson to learn but I have to agree. Last year was the first time I ever had a Sand Wedge. It cost me more strokes than any other club.

I just have to stick with it because the guy I play with uses his all the time and that 75 yards is where his game really shines when he is on.

i dont know... i'm usually drinking lol

i havent golfed in about 5 or 6 years actually.. when i am gigging steadily i just dont have time for it..

but yeah, depending on length of course (yardage), how many golfing with me, and how busy the course is, i used to range anywhere between 2.5 hours and 4hours

i used to be half decent too.. hit a driving range late last season just to feel out my swing and .. i'm terrible now.. completely lost it

Another nephew was jealous of my new Taylor Made driver. The thing is, he has hit a few buckets with it and some actual golf shots and I swear he hits it exactly the same length as he hits his own driver.

I think as long as your clubs are decent, reasonably modern, it makes zero difference unless you are a pro.

What angle you use.

I bought a 10 degree, which seems like a mistake since I tend to come under the ball a little too much so my drives are often too high. I am thinking of going down to a 9.

I had a lot of 10's last year.

Worst round... I literally had 6 drinks about an hour before playing and we had a whole case in our carts. I think by the 7 or 8th whole I had consumed over 10 drinks. The round was a complete and utter disaster.

Golf is a great excuse to drink. Pre-drinking is much cheaper ... too bad anything over about 3 beers and there is a noticeable drop in my game.
