He forgets to mention how Sid's concussion and jaw were freak injuries as well (especially upon second review).

i thought he was older..........still, 3 years is a pretty big difference. with 3 more years of development and experience, karlsson could be RIDICULOUSLY dominant. when letang was 23, his career totals were less than what EK did last year, so if karlsson develops even at the same pace, there will be no question who the best d-man is.

as of right now, i agree that it's probably "debateable", but i think most people, who look at it objectively, will say karlsson is better.

I think Karlsson has a slight edge in skating.

The better all around D man I'd go with Letang, the best Offensive D man in the league Id say is Karlsson.

With the argument on who you would take first overal in a dispersal draft, I take Geno, just for the interviews

And in those games, Sid has proved to be the best player in the league. His numbers prior to his jaw injury were staggering this year. Only idiot GMs would choose Karlsson over Crosby. Your posts continue to show you being a homer or an idiot. Again, your choice. No one is saying Karlsson isn't good or great. He is. That said, he ain't be these in the league.

How slowly do I have to spell this out for you? The scenario was a draft. Every player on every team is redrafted.

I never said Karlsson was better than Sid. It was someone else who said Karlsson is the best player in the game right now, not me.

What I said, is that it's possible a GM may pick Karlsson ahead of Sid because D are more valuable (and dominant D are more rare) than forwards, Karlsson is younger (we have no idea what potential he has) and Sid in injury prone.

If you are going to debate or argue with me, please don't put words in my mouth.

Karlsson was also the 15th pick in the draft while letang was 62nd so karlsson came in more polished

Charlie my man, it appears people in here don't share your view. Whatchya say you just let that go and talk with the other Sens fans in the Sens blog about the game tonight?

That's fine.

As a ref on here, if you want to target me and tell me to go away, that's fine. I get it.. it's a Pens blog.

I just want to state clearly that while I may have a different opinion, I'm not being an ass about it, or calling people names like we are in elementary school.

Nothing to do with me being a ref, everything to do with not wanting to read anymore of the same arguement that has been going on for 5 pages.

Oneonta has a problem talking to people so don't take it personally. I don't think his computer works properly unless the word idiot is somewhere in every post.

Cool I respect that. It's just frustrating when you make a statement and others twist your words before responding.

For the last time.. I agree.. Sid is the best player in the game... that is not what I was arguing.

Watching everyone argue whether Karlsson is better at x/y/z than Letang is kind of like arguing about whether you would rather sleep with Mila Kunis or Kate Upton....you can't go wrong either way.

what does draft position have to do with anything?

luke schenn was drafted like 6th or 7th overall...........should we include him in the debate?

daigle was taken 4 spots ahead of of jagr, perhaps that should work in daigle's favour........

Simmer down Charlie, we get it, you love Karlsson the mostest.

I feel that, I really do, but there's no more argument to be had here.

.....I had never once considered that until this moment. My god, it's so sickening.

I mean, I knew there must have been better picks than Daigle on the board, but.....WE COULD HAVE HAD JAGR?

They better re-sign him. I will flip out if he doesn't come back next season.
