Superman will always suck until they realize that the only way to make him cool is just by making him be a badass. He can't be relatable because he's (frank)ing invincible...boo hoo, you lost family you never knew and never will ohhhh so sad! Poor you guy who is impervious to everything in the world but magic and one form of kryptonite...boo hoo you have laser eyes...boo hoo you're naturally ripped and don't have to go to a gym...boo hoo you're naturally one of the smartest people on the planet because you come from a race of genetic supermen...boo hoo you likely have a 25 inch Richard.

He's not a relatable character, just make him a badass who kicks everybodies ass, that's what people want.

Batman is a human and has no power and he struggles on, that's why he's relate-able.

Trying to re-tread after all the poop their changes from S2 hurt them. Now at least Ramsay knows the kids are alive (As he did in the book...you know, cause he killed them himself) and so his pa will too, but everybody else will think they're dead
