Ott is one of the worst puck possession forwards on the team and he's playing big minutes and PP minutes . WGR did a report that he was the 2nd worst forward at possessing the puck on the entire team

There's a reason Dallas traded him as well (and, if I'm not mistaken, improved record wise as well). This team is still better off in the long run because Roy isn't on it.

I think I can agree with you here. Don't like Roy much (actually I just didn't like him with Vanek) but If we could have added Ott without giving up Roy we would have been a bit better (not sure about playoffs but definitely better).

that stat is almost as bogus as +/- IMO

a lot of that is from trying to work hard and make something happen

w/o looking, I am sure the safe players like hecht, staff and pommer have the good numbers for that stat and the workers like gerbe, coho, ennis and ott have the worst numbers

They should just trade Grigorenko, if your not gonna use him the right way trade him to a team that will. As long as Grigorenko is a member of the Sabres Grigorenko will never reach his full potential. At least put Grigorenko on the second line with Gerbe and Stafford.

It's not a bogus stat when your a horrible puck possession team IMO. I love Ott, but we traded a Perennial 2nd line center for a career 3rd line winger. It's not that big of a suprise our team sucks

I doubt they would have. Ott brings an element that a team needs. The problem is many people around here thought it was THE element this team needed, and that was far from the case as well.

ott improves this team on the dot, on pk, physical, locker room, and with the young kids

if ennis and coho were centers that can handle the top 2 lines throughout the duration of a season, it would not be an issue

ennis is off the dot due to poor play from wingers (staff for the most part with an inconsistent foligno)
