Apparently, Pierre McGuire reported from between the benches last night, that Shane Doan told Justin Abdelkader that "you play with Datsyuk and Zetterberg and you only have 9 goals? You should be ashamed of yourself." That's funny.

That's not necessarily true. Last year, the Rangers didn't have to play Pittsburgh, because the Flyers eliminated them before any such matchup.

If Ottawa faces them they're likely to gut them along the way, we all know what Neil is capable of when you touch Karlsson.

Easy to hate Neil as we've seen but I like the guy. Old school tough & def goes over the line at times but seems to know the limits between going just far enough without it being illegal (sometimes).

Loved that he asked Cooke to dance last night more than once & COoke wanted NO part of that fight.

I'm expecting a jet loss tonight. Going to wash is a really tough spot especially off a back to back and they thought it would he much easier. Buffalo really made it difficult. Caps aren't losing tonight

Never thought about it till now but with the lockout & the playoffs basically starting May 1, the Stanley Cup Finals if it goes the distance might almost go to July.

And almost immediately Free Agency will start.

Ottawa-Pittsburgh would be a real interesting playoff series. It's going to be a real fun week of hockey with everyone jockying for position, and not a single playoff matchup set.

Ottawa will give whoever they face a tough out, we saw that last yr & you've seen the resilience that club has this yr too. McLean is a heckuva Coach. Its gotta be the stache.

And the draft is on June 30th this year. So, go from the draft, right to free agency, without much of a chance for anyone to assess anything. That draft might me chalked full of trades this year.

Typical Matt Cooke. I remember when the Pens went back to BOston after Savard was injured. Thornton challenged Cooke. Cooke accept only to keep his helmit and visor on after Thornton asked him to take it off.

It's hard saying this about them now, but assuming that it would not come at the Rangers' expense, I want that team to make the playoffs this year. They deserve it based on what they been through.

Well, the statistics say that the most likely landing spot for the Rangers is the 6th seed. Go figure! Another Rangers-Caps series if the statistics are right.

Hard nosed, exceptionally well-coached team that based on all the injuries they had, could have folded it up mid-season. If they happen to finish 8th and get the Pens, I think they will give the Pens all they can handle.

Cooke much like Jarkko Ruutu, Kaleta even Avery for the most part have little honor when it comes to fighting. They're all spot pickers who usually only go when it suits them or they know its an opponent who they can likely beat.

Never would have happened in the old days. Take the instigator rule out & a lot of these guys would have to answer the bell.

The Boston play-by-play guy got alot of heat the other night for making an over the top comparison between Cooke and Sirhan Sirhan. But, when it comes does to it, hyperbole aside, most people feel exactly that. There is not a single fan in the game, outside Pittsburgh, that doesn't want to see that guy get it handed to him.

That's gonna be a good game. Maxi Domi, Zadorov, Hartman, Tom Wilson, Trochek, and Noeson.

Yeh, the game is stocked with high-end NHL prospects. The Whalers won Game 2 in double overtime, and Tom Wilson had a hat trick. Going to be interesting to see Tie Domi's kid tonight, as well as the Hughes kid the Rangers just signed, but of course, I have actually become a fan of the Whalers going to all these games. Best hockey out there, IMO. It's a 1,000 miles per hour, as the committment to defense, isn't what it is as the NHL level.

Very true and a fair point but you also can't count on that for a second consecutive year...
