What's boyles status? Mum? Haven't heard. I know he sucks but he is important at times. PK could miss him down the road.

Ideally since pyatt has played decently of late, a playoff 4th line could be powe-Boyle-Dorsett.

I want Zuccarello back next season.
- jimbro83

Me too, I just wonder what the cost will be. He will probably be low man on the totem pole behind Step, McD, Hags and Clowe. I feel he really adds something to the team though. Maybe they can pawn off Asham, Pyatt or Boyle on someone in the offseason for a draft pick and use the savings towards a Zuccarello contract.

Just gotta point out that, Stepan is thriving in that system everyone loves to hate
- Slimtj100

Your as bad as saver on the system but the other way ! How do you know that stepan doesn't do better in a more opened up style ?

Love all the chatter but can we discuss next year's roster when this year is over?

points earned when the two tied teams faced each other. rags have the tiebreaker over isles after ROW.
- rangerdanger94

You forgot an extra term here;
If the 2 teams tied have not played the same number of home games vs. each other, the points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra home game does not count.

Even more tougher is that:
If 3 or more teams are tied in points, the higher % of available points earned in games between those teams but not including odd games applies.

TJ, I was just messing with you. But, I think we should all just call a truce on this Torts stuff, and stop bringing it up until after this season is done. Good game, and all the pro-Torts people are looking for validation. Bad game, just the opposite.

Let's just stop and start pulling in the same direction here.

- Pete V

Even I agree with this here slimTJ, and am happier now!!! Remember that we have scored 26 of our 120 goals this season in only 4 games (20 in 3 games April 3rd & on); & 94 goals in the other 41 games; plus have given up 9 empty netters, which I believe is the most in the NHL. That's being optimistic now from April 3rd & on, and pessimistic from pre April 3rd.

But the facts remain from the pre-trade deadline games results as to what faults he & Sully were properly blamed for by the media; from the mis-handling of players, like mainly Gabby & Kreider; the Powerplay & PK failures; and the unwillingness to adjust his system (to force some offensive play) with the roster as it was constituted back then.
Plus now, aren't they all (besides Hank or Marty) coming out to play more harder from the game's opening faceoff; although April 3rd did begin desperation time for them?
Yet they still don't have a full 100% TORTS type roster; as I believe he will never be able to reconstruct here ever again. It's their found offense instituted in strategy by having even our defensemen join up in the attack to the opposition's net; that has turned this team around; with Hank now facing a reduced amount of quality shots & action. Ask Hank how much happier he is now with this new game plan adjustment.

Man I want Buffalo to win so badly tonight. Sick of Winnepeg hanging around like a dingleberry already. If Buffalo wins tonight, my boys can clinch tomorrow night

If Winnipeg loses in reg then all the Caps would have to do is win and they would clinch, which if that happens then the Rangers can clinch tomorrow night as well b/c they will have reached 54 pts and the Jets could only max out at 53...Isles and Rangers with the same rooting interests tonight

Yup, I'm not counting on Buffalo for anything though. That team sucks. I just don't see Winnipeg losing this game (hopefully I'm wrong). Hopefully Ottawa loses then between the way the NYI/NYR are both playing lately, they can take care of their own business. No excuse for either team to not go at least 2-1 in the last 3 games.

Take an Ottawa loss and 1 out of 2 games go NYI/NYR way tonight. Could be worse.

It really is unbelievable. Not the least bit concerned. They are really in a spot with that guy. They can't buy him out, because the cost of doing so would be astronomical, and they can't trade him, because noone in their right mind would take that contract. They are stuck with him until he is 43 years old, and he was only on pace to score 24 goals this year.
- Pete V

Say what you will about his contract but kovy is a hell of a player

Winnepeg wasnt losing to Buffalo tonight. Their last 2 games are against the Caps and the Habs. The Caps/Jets game tomorrow night is enormous for both those teams. Its in Washington though and I just don't see the Caps losing a game like that at home.

He is a great player, but when they gave him that contract, I'm pretty sure they didn't expect to have his cap hit on the books at 40 through 43 years old.

Ottawa will also be in Washington on Thursday. If the Caps win tomorrow night they clinch the division and thus locked into the 3 which may mean they don't play everybody. Should Peg win tomorrow night, then it becomes real crazy but still doesn't change anything regarding the Isles and the Rangers

Lou is very plugged into the owners. You wonder if he knew in the next CBA there would be available an option to buy players out. Granted thats quite a risk but Lou always tends to step in poop doesn't he...

Does the new CBA dictate that they will even if he hangs it up?
