I do and you're right Rob...it's been a great year so far. But if we play like that when it matters...we're PHUCKED.

Gotta imagine Bolland and Sharp will be playing, that's a big help, This isn't the team anyone will see in the playoffs

Worried about 36 and 10...they're not healing well and are going concerns as we near the rugged NEXT SEASON.

Our unwillingness to engage was TROUBLING.
- philco28

Very troubling. I think frolik was the most physical forward tonight. That is Troubling.

Yes...that's very true, but I'll save my angst for the first sign of playoff trouble.

Just look around the league though...
Boston and MTL keep trying to give away the division.
Anaheim lost 4 straight before finally taking 2 at Edmonton.
Detroit is stumbling down the stretch.
Wild decided to throw the season with 10 days to go.

And until last night in Van the Hawks had been what?...9-0-1 in their last 10 games...and that was only the 3rd road lose in regulation all season?!?.

Now if the lose had been to say....cough, cough...Edmonton...

I would be more upset.

If they're hurt we have no chance. I'm going into full optimist mode, assume they're both healthy, and watch as our boys go win the Stanley cup so I can get hammered at the parade again

I really do believe the fatigue of 3 in 4 played a role in the Vanishing in Van act...but we let that team get confidence vs us and i'm never down with that.

Good points Robbie...everyone's going through fatigue in the condensed sked...we should be alright. Hopefully, tonight was an aberration.

Rosi will be back, but I totally think you're right. The good teams hit him more than any other D and it only makes him worse. Wish we Reghr at the deadline, but hopefully we get some early leads and play how we have all year
- rollpards19

Reghr would have been great. LA is going to be a biatch to play against. Plus they got the dirty pos greene back. I agree about scoring 1st. But I hope they learn to get that 2nd and 3rd goal, too in the playoffs. No more OT's

It could be argued that this performance will serve as a reminder of the focus and edge required to beat quality opponents...

...the Hawks have not required many wakeup calls this year, so perhaps this will be taken as a positive.

We will all find out soon enough...

I continue to wonder why Bollig gets dressed. He doesn't hit and spends most of his time yapping with guys after the whistle.

At least Mayers will throw a hit or two when he gets a shot at playing. Bollig does nothing.

Really...

...how many times have the Hawks looked bad in this short, condensed season?

Can count em' on one hand.

That said, I'll be curious how they respond in Edmonton on Wednesday.

Bollig did a nice job tonight on at least two occasions to fall into d'man mode and cover for defenders that got caught pinching. Very alert on his part. Would have liked to see him throw down.

Not many, but tonight was not good. We got whipped by our chief rival and let them possibly set a tone if we should meet in the post season.

Well the next time someone claims that dressing him acts as a deterrent and his presence cuts down on Hawk players getting run... I'll point to this game as proof of the contrary.

Physically, the guy is a complete non factor.

But take him out and we get the living PISH kicked out of us. Bollig is what he is... a minor league tough guy playing on the big team because our GM refuses to employ a legit NHL heavy

With all due respect, I don't think tonights game matters at all...regarding what may follow in the post season. If that were true I'd be resigned to defeat if the Hawks play the Ducks...

...and I'm not.

Post season is a new season.

That is true. They had maybe 1 or 2 times where they looked bad for maybe 2 or 3 games then came back strong. But, it could have been different if emery didn't steal that game in Calgary. I think the team lost 2 straight shootouts. Who knows what could have happened losing 3 in a row

Respect back...we laid down tonight...don't give a phuck who we play...but it's no way to rep the Indian. NO WAY. Game was one game and i understand that. We usually bounce back forcefully after these no shows...but these no shows...should NEVER HAPPEN.

No, they got hammered with him in the lineup. He did nothing. Take him out and nothing changes.

And you don't need an "NHL heavy". You need people willing to hit. Anyone can hit.

Outmuscled....outhit.....out everything....

Bolig....Carcillo....Brookbank.....if this is any indication of how they will be a "physical presence in the play offs"......I'll pass. Stick with the speed and puck possession. Like I said weeks ago...don't try to change your game a week or two before postseason. Live by the sword...die by the sword.

- UnnamedSource

I believe they are coached that way.....and speed alone will matter if they don't take it on them selves to find some push back come playoff time

Exactly. This was a statement game. I am sure the hawks went into it thinking the same thing. In a rivalry like this, even a meaningless game 45 of 48 means something. I am sure the hawks wanted to win it. I bet they are now saying they didn't try and it means nothing

52 played a few shifts with 19 and 81 and PHUCK ALL happened to them when he was out there. But you're right..we didn't hit and it starts with the coach. What was he telling them before, during and after ? Not much by the look of things.
