How about the fact that he's one of the best PKers on one of the best PK teams in league?

How about his speed, energy, and skill is phenomenal for a 4th liner?

How about he's the kind of quality depth player that Championship calibre teams need?

- Ogilthorpe2

Oh, no doubt he's plenty of speed and energy. You can see that in the way Frolik is chasing the puck all over the ice lol!

Skill? Yea, he can skate, but not involved in the play like a skater at his salary should be. It's all about hockey sense. If he had any, then he would find a way to score. On any line. Andrew Shaw is a good example of this.

If they sit guys of Keith's caliber, they don't have a very good chance of winning in this building. IMO, this is the one last game where they should play the regulars and go 100% before letting a couple of guys sit.
- John Jaeckel

I was thinking same, I thought the last 3 games would be when players sit...

But Q. might rest some tonight and play guys vs Oil then Flames at home and then sit again on Sat in St. Louis.

iF the Canucks can get past anybody...

They didn't have the balance last time they went to the final and then they HAD a real point threat on the PP, not homeboy Jason Garrison.

Do not agree with JJ's lineup tonight. I'm betting Bollig-Mayers-Carcillo all dress

I would not be surprised.

One category in the top ten? Hertzman's argument fails based on stats...
- EKolb13

Really a shame Anderson took the ankle injury. Were it not for that, he likely would get the Vezina this year.

Agreed.

Frolik super start PKer , Bollig , um not so much to add to the roster.

- mrpaulish

I was referring to tonights game. I'm pretty sure the Hawks could miss Frolik one night despite his significant contribution to the 4th line and PK.

Besides, it would be a good opportunity to rest one of the few true superstars the team has. Lmao!

Another Canuck that JJ left out is Tom Sestito, their new goon who along with Steve Pinizzottio formerly from the Wolves they have the potential to cause big mayhem

Other than hearing ‘stats speak’ are you hearing any other voices?

Even so.. NHL.com :

Schneider is

17th in Wins

15th in GAA

10th is Save %

21st in Games Played.

Hardly elite....

- mrpaulish

No sure where you pulled these numbers, but they're wrong.

Tied for 16th in Wins, 21 in Games played, 9th in GAA, tied for 5th in S%. Tied for 1st in shutouts, which is a bigger consideration than games played when judging a goalie, typically.

Anderson is the unsung MVP this year.

Amazing how well the Sens played with key injuries.

On a sidenote...

Tonight is Pitts best chance of losing this week.

If the Pens don't pick up any points...Q has many options to rest players....

Dude, apart from a slow transition period in the first 10 to 15 games, Garrison has emerged as one of, if not our best defense man. He has one less goal than Seabrook, who is Chicago's leader in Defensive goals while only playing the PP half the season.

The guy is a beast, both offensively and defensively and if he keeps playing this way regardless of if he improves it will look like a great signing down the road.

7goals, 7 assists-14 points and a plus 17 while only having two PP points.
If he gets more time on the first PP unit its safe to say his stats will improve.

Edit, Furthermore, Vancouver's biggest problem playoff wise has always been scoring on 5-5 play, which has significantly improved this year. Powerplays tend to be rare come playoff time so i'l gladly take the improvement in five on five play.

Pirri won the AHL scoring title with 75 pts in 76 gp. He had 19 points in the last nine games. Pirri will probably be traded. For what, a 4th round 2014? Perhaps he could be traded with another player, or just used with a pick for an earlier round choice. Who knows? But the AHL scoring leader doesn't appear to have a future in Chicago.

If I had to bet, Pirri will be traded. That said, I would not call that a safe bet. A lot can happen between now and October.

There you have it! Garrison Orr is the odds on favorite for the Norris and the Hart and if he had played the whole season he would have won the Art Ross too! Guess there is no use in playing any more games, Garrison Orr is patrolling the Vancouver blue line. I bet he even knows how to orchestrate a riot too huh?
