Hammer showed up, but the refs forced him to go home. That is still a real bad call. The Vancouver player started to go down, forcing Hammer to leave his skates (after contact by the way). Absolutely no penalty - except against a bunch of girls.

Another one off the schedule .... 36 hurt again but that's not 19 88 or 81...so whatever, just a few more to get thru before they count again....

Someone please explain this to me. When Q had the Blues and later the Avs, those teams hit. They got after ya. What the hell is this schit we have now? I mean this game = getting your lunch money taken and your boxers yanked 6 feet up your a$$. But its more then that.. for the last 3 years... no push back. No physical response... Nothing. Yeah we showed some life the last 5 mins, but my god. Going philco here...

At least it's not a shut out. Small consolation but its something.

I asked a couple of weeks ago if Hawks are looking over their shoulder at the Canucks. Most people laughed . That was 5 out of 6 points we picked up against the Hawks this year

some positives...a few

1. Craw came to play...the other 19 took a pass: 3-1....not even close

2. 5 nuck PP's; killed 4 of them...thatsa plus

3. blocked a ton of shots...

there is my few;

first gme all year where the hawks were just throttled from end to end....no pushback at all...they took the beating lying down and never got up...

well..the nucks are still one warm pile on ice and i will thoroughly enjoy them coughing it up vs the blues (at least i hope its the blues)

I agree Z....this was a CHICKEN SCHLITZ, effort.

Honestly if they made some passes early this game is totally different. Vancouver was running all over the place to hit people and we just kept missing open guys. Hossa and Toews were brutal tonight. Bolland got hurt. As down as I am on Sharp, he's still a lot better than Frolik. Remember what everybody on this board always say, regular season don't mean ish. Also, why doesn't Carcillo play every game like the third period???????? He'd be a perfect player for this team

Guilt...being right...lots of things go out the window when you're married.

Now we get to look forward to a whooping on Wednesday by Edmonton. If the top guys are going to mail it in then bench them and give the young guys a chance. Try Smith or Pirri or LeBlanc or (wait for it) Olesz.

I see your point but with a week left and home ice wrapped up it is hard to take any meaningful aspects out of this game. Hawks didn't come to play but come play off time they will....
