Well I'm not one to leave watching a game early, but this is one of the worst (if not the worst) the Hawks have played this year. It's 430am here and I'm going to call it quits for tonight.

Hope the team at least makes it through the last 20 without any more injuries.

Please explain to me - if Nik gets a charging penalty - and Vancouver is finishing every check, whether 1 stride away or 6, how come the calls are not evening out? I hate to say this, but I hope an official gets one off the face.

I'd say Crow kept them in this one as long as he could. A few great saves. Nothing you can do about a breakaway or a tip in. Hawks are being outplayed in every facet.

Hate to say it, but tip of the hat to the Nucks on this one.

Playoffs can't start soon enough. The Hawks have looked completely disinterested in the last three games, especially on the defensive end. Aside from Crawford, I'm not sure I can pick out one guy who showed up to play tonight. I know the game doesn't really mean anything to them, but if you weren't going to rest some guys and bring up some players from Rockford the game, then I would have expected a better effort. Vancouver running around taking runs at guys and the Hawks have barely showed a pulse.

I've been saying it for 2 1/2 seasons.
Out hit the hawks and they can be beat. They're getting smacked around and no one is doing anything in this game.

They are gonna be in trouble if/when they face the Ducks,Kings,Canucks.

Wrong. Hawks usually get outhit because they have the puck, not because they're down in a meaningless game to a bunch of losers coached by a thug.

Having said that, I told you guys before all is said and done we will refer to our goaltending as the weak link, and I'll say it again, cc is not worth trusting in an important game. He is the definition of average.

I know it's illegal but I hope seabs or someone raises an elbow and breaks the jaw of one of those headhunters.

Oh puhlease. Go back to your sippy cup. That's the only cup your gonna get your hands on in Vancouver. Don't know how long the Canucks will last in the playoffs, but they damn sure aren't winning the Cup, but you go ahead and get your hopes up.

Shaw's showed some fight tonight as he usually does. Saad looks disinterested.
Bollig and Carcillo still are afraid to come out from under Q's skirt.

There is a lot a good goalie can do about a breakaway or a tip. But I agree, there is nothing Corey can do about it. And yes, the fact the hawks are either afraid, or too delicate to hit is a very big problem heading into the playoffs.

apparently Q has instructed them to shut it down and rest or something but if that's the case, just sit the "core" instead of this debacle where someone could get seriously injured.
