One of those hats was thrown by Ilya Bryzgalov. I found that hilarious

did you see him high-fiving fans as the game ended, they showed it on the carolina feed and it looked pretty funny, seems like he had made a few friends over there

I, personally, don't think Ruff is that good a coach. As far as retreads, I'd prefer a guy like Murray, who has a strong rep as a teacher and as a guy whose teams are sound defensively and can also score.

In 15 years as a NHL head coach, Murray's teams finished in the top ten in the NHL in goals scored 12 times. He's not a defense-only coach, he's a guy who can adjust to what he has on the roster.

That's what I want, a guy who isn;t married to a system or scheme. I want a guy who can adjust if he's got a slow plodding defense or 6 TJ Brennan's

- Jsaquella

I would like to see them think a little out of the box and maybe bring in a guy like Dave Poulin. Having Terry Murray as his #1assistant/associate coach would then work for me.

Before I skin and gut the coach I got to look at the team the GM put together and the organizational philosophy. It was pretty clear to many that this team wasn't going to be a contender this year. Sure there was probably enough there to make the playoffs but jeez the injuries were the final nail. I don't think Scotty Bowman at his best could have won more than one playoff round with this group. From the beginning there was too much placed on a young nucleus Coots, Schen, Voracek and Simmons. There wasn't enough veteran leadership upfront with Briere hurt and struggling, Hartnell having an off year and Talbot not producing. The defensive struggles could have been anticipated also, they really miss a puck moving defenseman and despite Mezzy's relatively sturdy history I had a bad feeling about his health, Grossman is a warrior but injury prone. How much longer an they rely on Kimmo for the big heavy minutes? And Bryz, he's the least of their problems but that's not saying much. I don't blame Moonbean for everything but I don't care for his personality. Sure, it's easy to fire the coach again. That would be the 4th in 10yrs. One minute we're complaing about the impatience of the organization yet we're anxious to give Lavy his papers. I lean towards keeping the coach another year with the hope that the GM gives him a better team and that God keeps it healthy.

London won 2-1, Stolarz was just fantastic.

He just made another unreal save.

Here are is playoff numbers, today's game won't be added until this one is over.

Know my biggest issue with Murray?

He had all the talent in the world in LA, but it took a new guy to finally get them to bring it all together. Murray may have set the ground work, but it took somebody else. He had LA flirting with inconsistency for a long time, when they should have been much better. I dont like that.

they said the same thing about dungy when grudin took over the bucs. then dungy went to indy and won it all. this is a common phenomenon.

He's gotten better for the most part since he went to the OHL, some aspects will take time to work on but he's for sure somebody I hope to see work out for them down the road.

Oh a fight, didn't last long Cody Payne (Plymouth) gets the decision over Paxton Leroux (London)

Good analogy, plus nearly every player on the Kings last year gave credit to Murray for teaching them how to play the game the right way which led to their post season success.

A lot of people were down on Terry Murray after the Flyers were swept by Detroit in 1997. While he was most certainly out coached in that series, I'm pretty sure he is one of many coaches who suffered the same fate when facing Scotty Bowman. No doubt that while his comments on game 4 being a "choking situation" were ill advised and didn't sit well with the team, he was only stating the truth.

In hindsight, firing him in '97 was most likely a mistake as it led to the whole Cashman debacle. Perhaps they should have looked to make a few trades instead and at least give Murray another season.

Oh well hindsight etc....

If PK's little brother is still around when they pick in the 2nd round, should the Flyers draft him?

He'll might be suspended he did this last night, to me it was a head hunting when I saw it live. I'd consider it but I have other players in mind for round 2 should they keep the pick.
