Isn´t that when Pegula came out and said, "Ruff you ain´t going nowhere"......hmmmm - toddkac
I believe Darcy was also quoted as saying Lindy will be here as long as I am here... He set himself up for this mess. You can't blame the owner, coach and players and not blame Regeir. He is just as responsible for not winning a cup in 16 years as anyone else

meh, 4 owners in 16 years, a bankruptcy hearing, an owner in prison, an owner not willing to spend money. I am willing to give Regier and Pegula more time. I think Regier has made very good trades the drafting has gotten much better since moving away from video scouting and we have an owner who wont let the next Drury and Briere go via free agency but hey blame that on Regier too.
Miller compaired to Roy?
Humm what's next?
Vanek to Bure?
How about Ennis to St. Louis!
Geeze, Miller. Honestly, Buffalo fans just can't seem to accept the present without forgetting the past. I couldn't believe my ears when he turned in a great Olympic and half of year in 2010. "He's going to be better than Hasek".....? We will never see another Hasek so please get over it. Miller was Buffalo's MVP for the NYR series in 07 and the aforementioned. Other than that, competent enough to be in the top half of the league but never elite.
Confusion and depleted expectations is how I've felt for a while now with this organization especially around 7 p.m. But hey, 40+ years of nothing but remembered teams that accomplished nothing does that to you I guess.

While I don't support the booing at all, I also don't support Miller being snippy with the fans. A veteran professional athlete should conduct himself better.

Meh...Patrick Roy, the man who many people here inexplicably think is the one to bring this team to the promised land, was often snippy. And he won cups multiple cups with multiple teams. I don't mind it. It's supposed to be entertainment.
You know what, Millsy? We've been "taking it" for seven f$%king seasons!!!
No playoffs for 5 of those, and first round exits in the other two. Can you blame us for wanting change?!?!
You've been a great goalie for us, no doubt. Just like Pommer was a great winger for us and, dare I say, perhaps the most consistent Sabre of his generation. But, the ugly truth is that neither of you, along with the rest of your teammates (past and present), have delivered us a championship, let alone make the damn playoffs consistently.
Well, we're sick of it.
We, as passionate fans, just ask for a hard-working team that shares our passion, night in and night out, and we've shown we'll embrace that. And most of these past seven years, the lack of hard work and passion has been the difference between making the playoffs and not.
So, again I ask you, can you blame us? - Powerslave
I am not sure if you saw the rest of Miller's quotes last night. At first, I was pretty disgusted with his "wave" and "dish it out" comments, but then I saw this:
“We haven’t lived up to any kind of expectation. It’s just been years and years of not getting it done. So if they (the fans) want change, if they’re pissed off, that’s fine.
It’s not like we haven’t been searching for a way to satisfy our needs that basically satisfy their needs."
“We just haven’t got a job done. You don’t win over Buffalo fans by losing hockey games and putting up mediocre seasons. The last three years have pretty much been that.”
..and I really thought Miller did a good job in a tense situation .
