It only makes sense that Snider's going to mandate that Homer exhaust all possible trade options before he cuts Briere that fat check. Some low-budget/young teams would be willing to give something up for Briere, so it all just depends on how Briere plans to wield that NMC. I'm sure his agent will tell him to take the buyout, but who knows...
