That's the wrong answer.
What other hockey genius hasn't won a playoff series in 7 or 8 years? I can't think of one. |

Exactly. It's bad business. There may be a waiting list for season tickets right now, but it could also turn around the other way very quickly. How many nights did the Rigas's have to paper the house just to fill it? Pegula and Co. better do the right thing this summer. And don't wait to do it. Day after the season, pull the trigger. - Powerslave
I buy 10 (5 this year) games (2 seats per game) from my buddy's season tickets. I already told him I am out for next year if Regier is still there.
If Black is so concerned with keeping the fans Regier should go both as a business and a hockey decision. |

You know what, I've been on the fence on booing, I don't do it. But to show up and lay an egg like that last night, (frank) them. They deserved to get booed, and if it makes them want to leave, if it makes it hard for some to get motivated, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
They wonder why it's a morgue in that building? - nfph
I think the booing is totally fine they deserve that but the Bronx cheers that are definitely specifically aimed at Miller aren't necessary IMO. Not sure what realistic expectations people have from the goaltending position given the team is 29th overall in puck possession at 44.5%. That is brutal. I think it's remarkable that the Sabres are 8th overall in EVSV%. Sabres are 12th best in shorthanded save % yet are 26th overall on the PK. Stats don't lie this year. Regier once again dressed up a pig in lipstick.
Miller is very good. It is best for both player and team to part ways at this point. He put in close to a decade of very solid play contrary to some people's belief. Give him a nice send off.
For all the diva talk he never once asked to be traded, something he definitely should have done by now IMO.
Boo the team, boo Darcy. Save the Bronx cheers for somebody else. |

Miller is the scapegoat on the team because he's the most "visible." I don't think it's fair, but for more "casual" hockey fans, he's the one that's going to get the most heavily criticized. I've tried defending him for years now. It's been even more difficult this year. For some reason, most people can't see that the team in front of the goalie is even more of a problem.

I've defended Miller forever, I've always like him. Hell, he's the only one on the roster I have a jersey for. However, I do agree that he's let in a lot of soft goals this year. Despite how bad the team is in front of him, he's just gotta stop some of those weak ones. He's slowly turned into a cancer like Stafford, get rid of him. If we're gonna go young we should do so with the goalie too. |

I don't think he's let in a lot of "soft" goals. He's also made a lot of great saves. It's everything in between that he's letting in a lot of. The average every day shots that goalies see a lot of but really could go either way. I'd like him to be better on them, but when it's deflected or he's screened, you can't really hang it on him. I'd like him to get them more often than he has, but that's all luck. It has nothing to do with him playing poorly. He's just facing way too many shots on a nightly basis. That's the team in front of him. |

I agree. Which is disappointing because he really wanted to bring a Stanley Cup here. It's why he resigned here in the first place. I remember his interview after signing his extension. He said he had unfinished business here and that was to win a Cup. I hate to see him leave under the conditions that currently exist, but I think it's time to part ways. The team is going in a younger direction so it's time to let him go somewhere he may have a chance in the next few years. |

Any player that complains about booing is basically saying they don't understand how bad they suck and they don't understand the importance of the moment. I don't think out fans expectation are that unfair. |

It's one of those things where they can lose with him, they can lose without him. Much like the Ruff situation, Miller will move on and have success but it wasn't gonna happen in Buffalo so you have to cut the cord take the assets and move on. |

The assets are going to be more valuable to them at this point anyway. I think the writing was on the wall the moment they got Hackett in the Pominville trade. |

I don´t think your thinking through your statement. Your telling hockey players how they feel?
Fans have the right to boo all they want but from the players point of view if the fans are booing it is not going to help the team win. I don´t know why it is so hard for fans to understand that I team can feed of off home energy, negatively and positively. Do you think when the opposing team hears the booing they will feel sorry for the sabres and let up or do you think the opposing team will try to bury the sabres even harder?
Freedom of speech and all I guess a bad team deserves booing fans.
I can see both sides but honestly if you are that unhappy about my teams performance then don´t support the team with your money. |

I get Ott saying lay off the kids for a bad shift in a tie game. Fair enough.
They absolutely deserved every last round vowel last night. - nfph
I can't speak specifically to any particular sabres game, only been in the building once this year. But knowing as many sabres fans as I do and the general vibe amongst fans right now, I don't see anyone really booing the young kids. Everyone I know is excited to see these kids in the lineup and are just happy to see some new faces. All the frustration and anger has been at the guys who have been in buffalo awhile. The players that have been there awhile have no excuse for some of the sloppy play and dumb mistakes that have cost the sabres so many games, and the fans should be booing, loudly. Angry fans are better than apathetic ones. |
