Please don't ask me why, but I am going to a Pens - Devils game in Prudential on Thursday, April-25.
This would be the 1st ever game I attend that does not involve the Sabres!
Friend od mine at work is a Pens fan, and he convinced me to go along!

Good chance Sid Geno and Neal are back by then, why wouldn't you want to see that talent in person? If the Blackhawks etc... came close by I would love seeing that caliber of play in person.

Miller is as good as gone this off season. He sounds like a bitter old man, has been average for years and if his personality in the locker room is anything like it is when he's interviewed then he's a cancer and most likely the root cause of how Jordan Leopold described the team when he joined the Blues.

ranger fan obviously but i went to a sabre penguins game last season and it was awesome seeing crosby play live. your eyes are glued to him even when he's away from the puck and it's just mind blowing.

Kessel, Marleau, Datsyuk, Sedins, Stastny, Thronton, Bergeron, Michalek, Callahan. All free agents after next year. I know some will be resigned but Vanek wont be the only big name out there. Pominville too

Honestly I doubt it. Pominville got a huge return because he was available to the Wild for 2 playoff runs, not just 1. People would argue Pominville is just as good a player as Vanek because of his all around play and the fact that he is an iron man. I could see a team like the Islanders drooling over Vanek to play with JT, or a team like Nashville. But again it has to be a team that feels they are a peice or 2 away from a cup that would allow them to risk losing him after one season

I have always been, and always will, no matter what!

I think the Isles would be a strong possibility. They are a good team already, have a really good prospect pool, will have a pick from - 15-20 most likely and a light payroll to take on a 7 million dollar salary. I would trade him for a 1st, a really good prospect and a bottom 6 role player

i think you guys are gonna want to trade him in the offseason but i also feel like the return for goalies is never what you expect. that pominville trade was honestly a steal imo (well it worked out for both team but you guys got a lot more than anyone thought you would have) and i don't think you'll get the same offers for either miller or vanek.

I don't think the Sabres are going to re-sign Miller after next year and Miller won't re-sign with them, so they may not get what they want, but they will get something they see as valuable instead of nothing in return when he leaves as a FA.

Vanek will get them a healthy return but since he will only have one year left on his contract it most likely won't be on the level of Pominville unless it's a re-sign and trade, which has virtually no chance of happening.

How weak this team is built is definitely not Miller's fault, but he has his flaws both on and off the ice. I just want the Sabres to trade both Miller and Vanek, get some valuable pieces to add to their rebuild and move on from there.

Detroit could make a move for Vanek, they'll have $$$ and aren't used to being disappointing... ESP if they miss the playoffs... Imagine that?
