Where did u get those stats? - jdfitz77
idk if those stats are accurate but if it's similar to the NBA draft lottery, teams that just miss the playoffs usually have less than a 2% chance i believe. 9th place is like 0.7% or something and 10th place isn't much better. |

Let's hope we get embarrassed so bad in the last 3 games that Darcy is fired too. Epic win. - Pierceme69
I really can't see how we keep Darcy!
It just does not make sense anymore!
Off course, this is just my opinion!
Who the hell knows what the Sabres will do. |

#1 (worst team) is only around 25% chance I'm pretty sure. |

It's almost not even worth giving those teams a chance at it at all. If they ever beat the odds you could only imagine the conspiracy junk that would result. |

I'm fine with moving on from Miller. I don't think we get much for him though unless he gives heads up that he will resign with that team. Maybe a 2nd line player and a late 1st or 2nd and a 3rd. Vanek similar, they are basically 1 year rentals now unlike Pominville - sbroads24
I disagree
With all the guys signing extensions, they'll be the two best players available for teams that wanna make a big splash
I could def see a "Pominville-like" return for both
I see multiple teams bidding on both, ESP vanek
I guess we'll see though |

Out of the options there, sure, but Pens have handled NY pretty good sans that one blowout.
Pens just need to worry about the Pens. If they play their game they should like the results.
Penguins have not lost 4 games in a 7 game stretch once this season.
Time will tell. 1993 Penguins Islanders series is proof enough that anything can happen. - Gunner Staal
Pens have to worry about Marc-Andre Fleury in the playoffs. He looked awful in last year's playoffs |

One series doesn't define him. He is fine.
Penguins don't reach back to back Finals without him let alone win it all. |

Don't forget compliance buyouts. Briere will likely be on the market. I wish he'd come back here and mentor the young pups. |

Honestly I doubt it. Pominville got a huge return because he was available to the Wild for 2 playoff runs, not just 1. People would argue Pominville is just as good a player as Vanek because of his all around play and the fact that he is an iron man. I could see a team like the Islanders drooling over Vanek to play with JT, or a team like Nashville. But again it has to be a team that feels they are a peice or 2 away from a cup that would allow them to risk losing him after one season |

hey man i finished 9th place in my conference in nba 2k13 and won the draft lottery! but then i couldn't sign carmelo anthony in the offseason cuz i forgot to trade away some salary and i restarted the xbox and the last saved point was before the draft and i never won it again |

Why not? He is a forward with offensive skill that doesn't play any defense. He'll fit right in on the top 2 lines here. |

Please don't ask me why, but I am going to a Pens - Devils game in Prudential on Thursday, April-25.
This would be the 1st ever game I attend that does not involve the Sabres!
Friend od mine at work is a Pens fan, and he convinced me to go along! |

Miller is as good as gone this off season. He sounds like a bitter old man, has been average for years and if his personality in the locker room is anything like it is when he's interviewed then he's a cancer and most likely the root cause of how Jordan Leopold described the team when he joined the Blues.how the grim reaper was around in Buffalo. |

True,
But he won't get close to the same interest Vanek will
And there won't be too many major talents that get bought out
Maybe heatley
I don't really see anyone else of significance becoming available
There will be more than 3 teams looking to make a big move |

i think you guys are gonna want to trade him in the offseason but i also feel like the return for goalies is never what you expect. that pominville trade was honestly a steal imo (well it worked out for both team but you guys got a lot more than anyone thought you would have) and i don't think you'll get the same offers for either miller or vanek. |
