Its a good thing the flyers locked rosehill in for 2 years. He was all over the press box last night.

Agreed, but it really wouldn't shock me.

The way the team gave up on Cechmanek in 2000-01/2001-02 sure sets a precedent for suspecting, if not believing, it.

Last night's game was meaningless and has no bearing on the future of this team in so far as winning it. They won the previous two and had the finish strong crowd salivating that it would have some lasting effect. This team is inconsistent and struggles under pressure. I'd rather lose these meaningless games down the stretch than let NJD or other teams pick before the Flyers for seven rounds this summer.

I didn't know, so I sat down and added it all up.

Homer teams vs. Rangers:

06-7: 1-5-0 (2 games against NYR in Clarke's tenure)
07-8: 3-3-2
08-9: 2-4-0
09-10: 3-3-0
10-11: 4-1-1
11-12: 0-6-0
12-13: 2-3-0

Total: 15-25-3

Homer teams vs. Devils:

06-7: 1-3-3 (1 game against NJD in Clarke's tenure)
07-8: 2-5-1
08-9: 3-1-2
09-10: 5-1-0 - Postseason: 4-1
10-11: 3-2-1
11-12: 3-2-1 - Postseason: 1-4
12-13: 1-4-0

Total: 18-18-8 / 5-5

Total against both: 33-43-11 / 5-5

The initial hope was that Karlsson would be ready to go come training camp next season. And, about five or so weeks into recovery, Karlsson had all but confirmed that the rehabilitation was slow to local and overseas media, complaining that he couldn't do much of anything in terms of workouts or skating.

We later found out the Swede was playing possum, scheming a return to the team as early as this season. Karlsson had contacted teammates -- including Daniel Alfredsson -- about his plan, and had been skating with medical staff and skating coach Marc Power.

And today, Karlsson took the biggest step of all: a return to team-level practice with the club. He's been cleared for full contact and, per GM Bryan Murray, is back to 100%.

Playoffs start in about two weeks. Will the kid be ready?

If so, it's a gamechanger. And gamechanger might be the understatement of the century.

What bugged me about last night was the inability to shoot the puck. So many chances blown because they tried to be too cute or went for the cross crease one timer. Sure that would work, if you are playing Flyers D but not against a good D team

Send defenseman Braydon Coburn and a 2014 first-round pick to the Nashville Predators for the fourth overall pick.

Send the No. 4 selection and a pair of third-round picks to the Florida Panthers for the top overall pick.

Next, send the top pick to the Colorado Avalanche for the No. 2 selection and a conditional 2014 third-rounder, on the condition that the Avalanche would take MacKinnon, leaving the Flyers to get Seth Jones.

Edit: Not the Thrashers.

The Read 2-on-1 was awful. Not only did he telegraph the pass horribly, but in the end, he did nothing with it. He just stood there.

It would suck not to have the 1st round pick in 2014 when the draft will be in Philly.

I dunno. I'm just fed up with the lack of execution up front and the discussion turning to the goaltender EVERY GAME.

True, but it worked to get Vancouver the Sedin twins, and they've led Vancouver to SEVERAL Presidents' Trophies.
