How do you know?

I don't see Bozak as a third line center. A 2 at least. And it's been 3 years that they have looked for a "top flight talent at center" yet it's still Bozak at 1.

He has great chemistry with kessel, they freaking live together. That does absolutely nothing to validate his skills at the position. Who have they had to replace him? Grabovski? Tried it.. Didn't work. Kadri? Until he can learn to win faceoffs, he's not ready. Who else?

I'm pretty sure bozak is not the only center in the NHL who can post subpar points playing nightly with kessel, lupul, JVR, etc.

Winning faceoffs is really the only top notch talent he brings to the table, and that's not worth 5 mil a season. Everything else he does is not difficult to replace.

Bozak isn't worth more than 3.5 mil a season.. Plain and simple.

Watching him shy away from heavy contact.

Watching him pass too early too often because he lacks confidence in his own abilities.

My god you're difficult to have a rational discussion with.

That means absolutely nothing. Carlyle also thought it was a solid idea to have holzer play top pairing minutes for half the season.

There isn't anyone else.. There hasn't been anyone else that can produce the chemistry like bozak does with kessel for years. That doesn't provide just cause to ridiculously overpay him. Figure it out.
