Is it possible to get a good bottle of scotch for less than a hundred bucks, and if so what are your recommendations ?

Glenmorangie original at less than $70 is pretty good. Cardhu at $75 is also good, heavy peat taste. The Macallan 12 year at just over $90 is very good, although the 15 yr old is much better the price is over $100.

I was at the Dive Bar in NYC one time ( they have over 100 single malts on the menu). A really hot cougar was sitting at the bar so I sat beside her, ordered her a drink and said i'd have the same. 25 yr old Macallan at over $30 a shot, she was having a double.
