If he wasn't signed or there was no hope of resigning him at a reasonable price in Snow's mind he should've been traded. - Cptmjl
Well he's not signed. I honestly don't believe they will resign him. So I was one of the ones who thought he should be traded if the return and partner was right. |

No. Boyes makes you look stupid. Everything evil in the world is tied to Brad Boyes. That's it.
Hitler? No. Boyes. - kencan98
Why don't you go back to the Rangers and Devils blogs you said you hung out on for the last few years? You know those blogs you said you "hung out" on because we were all morons and had no idea what we were talking about. Do you remember when you posted that? How all of us were morons and that's why you stayed on other people's blogs? Remember? Funny thing is a bunch of Devs and Rags fans posted on here and PM'd me and said they never even knew who the (frank) you were because you're full of shat. Boyes is a bad player who doesn't belong on the first line and every (frank)ing person in the world knows that besides you? There are numerous better options. The one thing that doesn't click in your insane brain is that just about any player is a better option then Brad Boyes. |

Oh I know all about our "system".
And I've been hearing about our "System" for years.
I've also watched us ruin talent for years by bringing up undeveloped prospects. - kencan98
and your insistence to lump the years of the past to the present state of this franchise tell me you indeed know nothing about our present farm system. If you can't tell that a player like Strome, Grabner or even Nino would be a massive upgrade on Boyes, you're beyond help. Stop looking at stat sheets and start watching the players. |

I understand both sides of this argument. Keep him, not entirely stupid. Trading him wouldn't have been either. See, I agree with you again, like I said earlier I agree with a lot you have to say. Your delivery needs some work. |

Actually it was the Penguins and Devils. What I said was that Islanders and Rangers fans are exactly the same.
The only difference is the "wait till next year" date. For the Islanders it's the draft. For the Rangers it's July 1. |

Absolutely. They're caught up in all the extra stuff. If Okposo was smart he'd just let Bogosian take a penalty on their next shift and then Martin can have a talk with Bogosian later on if he's still looking to fight someone.
Wish they'd get back to dumping the puck in and skating back hard. Winnipeg can be had...they're skating and playing hard, but they're not the most organized team. - UIF
I'll be honest I have a very bad feeling about the third period. I think we've given Winnipeg too much confidence by missing too many opportunities. Where in a world of trouble if we lose this game in regulation. |

Strome hasn't proven anything yet. He hasn't played a game in the NHL. Letting someone who at least somewhat produces go in favor of someone who could or could not work is a bad idea.
Grabner could move to the first line and swap spots with Boyes. That's fine by me.
Nino has 4 (or something like that) points in the NHL. Replacing a 34 point player with a 4 point player without the 34 point player being on the team is a mistake.
I'm all for bringing up the prospects and replacing Boyes on the first line AS LONG AS HE'S ON THE TEAM. There has to be more than 1 plan in place. |

Even when the puck's going wide, Nabby doesn't look like he's tracking it well today. |

Finally! There's the forecheck. Yeah, he's doing some flopping. Definitely not as sharp as he has been. This (frank)ing game is killing me. |

Tavares had yet to prove anything in the NHL prior playing there either. Some players are simply elite talents and are capable of jumping right in strome is that type of player. As for Nino, like I said stop paying attention to stat sheets and start watching the player. He's a much better offensive talent than Boyes. |

Yeah, because Nino playing 5 minutes a game with Reaoner and Jay Pandalfo is a good comparison to Boyes playing 16 to 20 mins a game on the first line with John Tavares . The funny thing is I wouldn't think Nino would be a great option, there are a dozen better options and scenarios than that but you are so obtuse you can't even see one |

Nino is in the AHL.
Comparing Strome to JT is kind of ridiculous.
Should we compare Malkin and Bailey next? |

Again it's back to you "thinking".
I've said over and over again that I don't know. Nino could be a better option. Maybe Strome. Maybe Bailey will score 50 next year. I have no idea.
What I do know is that the first line right now is somewhat working. I have no problem with testing out other options but you only do that with a plan B in place in case it doesn't work. |

OK. I'll give you one. Just for shat and giggles. How about Ullstrom to the third line and Grabner to the first and Boyes to the bench? That's just one off the top of my head. |

The second line tells me all I need to know! While Tavares has incredible instincts, Strome actually has more natural talent. You should watch him sometime. Nino is in the AHL but is now NHL ready, which is more than I can say for Boyes. |
