To be fair though, Flames didnt play that great today. It came down to Howard playing like crap and Kipper stealing games. Can you guys imagine where the Flames would be today if not for Kipper? I mean we would have at least picked in the top 5 at least a few years. We could possibly have had Crosby or Toews

Holy smokes was at that game & there was absolutely no urgency from Detroit until 4 minutes left in the game. Flames arent that good. Kipper was great, I cant believe he wants to retire. The guy looks young & he's still a good (frank)ing goalie. Detroit were absolutely nuts not coughing up the 1st rounder for JBO. He would have fit your style perfectly. Holland has been poopting the bed on not doing anything at the trade deadline lately. It's starting to show. If Zetter & Dats arent going, there aint much behind. Those two guys are amazing players.

The Wild pulled the same thing last season. They were almost assured to be in the top 3 picks and then decided to win 4 of their last 6 after having the worst 2nd half of the season record in the league. That was awesome!
