We are in the playoffs without them scoring and Moulson and Boyes horrible play lately. Now with that said we need them to start producing once we're in. If we continue to get the secondary scoring we have had leading into the playoffs with that first line clicking we'd be a tough team to play against and would match up decent to anyone, except Boston of course

Boyes should not be on this team next year.

I dont know why but I feel the NHL will not let that happen. They need the Rangers in and they will try to make it easy for them. They do have a weak schedule. I dont trust that team

I dont trust those Rangers they will find a way in. Even though they lost last night but they did have over 40 shots on goal and they have a weak schedule

Do you really believe this? I can see them not making it at this point especially the way Winnipeg is playing.

I think the Rags have the Panthers. They will eat them for breakfast. Pisses me off though we could have beaten the Rangers and buried them

Not to look ahead to next season the Isles need a true bonafide NHL experienced power forward who plays RW and scores...another stay at home d-man who can play the PP and a goalie if Nabby doesn't sign with the Isles...use the prospects to fill in the other spots...

Yeah, they thought that the last time they played them too. The Rags are gripping their sticks a bit tighter after that loss to Philly, I won't be surprised if they implode.

Nabby will be signing again, that's a give in as far as I'm concerned. The rest i agree with.

I'll say he would. He's not known for being a back up.

I'd love to see Iginla on the isles next season. Can be had as a UFA. With the cap going down, his salary might be too much for Pitt to keep him. Slide him next to JT and Moulson in place of Boyes, that first line become even more lethal. Not saying that Iginla would sign on LI, but he'd be ideal.

Agreed,, I think the only other place he finally goes is into the sunset. The fact that he's even discussed an extension tells me that's not happening so I fully expect he'll sign a 2 year deal and remain here.

The only way Nabby doesn't re-sign is if the Isles decide to go in another direction. I doubt that will happen. Nabby clearly likes it on LI as a starter and the Isles wouldn't sign him to be anything else. He, like Streit, are not going to jump off the wagon now. They're not going to leave now, just as the team appears to be finding its stride, provided the money is fair, which it will be consdering the Isles salary floor/cap situation.

Given the choice, I'll taken Nathan Horton...bigger, stronger, cheaper and YOUNGER. Not to mention he's been an Islander killer so we may as well let him keep scoring in our building..FOR US.

I might get crucified, but throw JT in the mix as a player not playing well lately. Last night in particular he was making terrible passes to nobody, the puck was getting poke checked off his stick all night, and he looks frustrated. Maybe it's because his linemates are sucking that he looks frustrated, but even when alone with the puck he looks like a shell of himself.

I'm telling you from personal experience, I wouldn't even bother. 90% of the people here DO NOT get what you are saying.

I get it and I'm 100% with you. It works, leave it alone. Resign him for another year (or two) and if a prospect fits into the line, Boyes can always be traded away.

Most here don't get that.

Well that settles it...with the two of you joining forces, there's no way this could go wrong...

He needs to be resigned. Risking having a tandem of Poulin and DP next year is just scary. Sign Nabby and a reliable backup. The Poulin ship has sailed...
