you guys are too funny. Haters than totally deny after the fact.

Why are you saying Bailey or KO sucks? you guys were all season?

- Spartiarti

I NEVER said Bailey sucks. Always been a fan. Now Okposo on the other hand, yes i did. Have no problem saying it bcs he did suck and i would'nt have been unhappy if he was traded. He's playing awesome now which I'm completely shcoked by admittadely. How does this change the fact that Boyes sucks?

It is true to a certain extent... About a month ago (maybe even longer), Im not sure what game it was but during one of the intermissions, Weight ripped the team apart and the players after the game said he did and that it wasnt the first time either...

Does this happen everyday? everygame? everytime something goes wrong or is done wrong? Prob not but the players have said this happens... I have never heard a player say that Cappy ripped them a new one, only Weight...

And just in my opinion... From hearing Cappy, Thompson and Weight talk after game and during intermission interviews... Thompson and Weight just seem more of a Coaching figure/mentors/teachers. I could be completely wrong but thats the feeling I get when listening to each guy speak.

- Bags502

It might not actually be the case at all, but sometimes Cappy looks like he wants to hit Thompson in the face with a frying pan when Thompson barks out advice to him on the bench

i agree with those 4 not being on the team year but i wouldnt just necessarily assume those 4 prospects will be filling in...i anticipate a trade involving some prospects/players during the offseason.

remember, we have to reach the cap floor...prospects wont get us there.

fwiw, i dont think streit will resign.

- LetsGoIsles

If that is the case then he should've been traded. I understand the whole not wanting to change the teams dynamic argument but he should have ben traded none the less.

Right one Jethro. Some here dont understand the concept if it aint broke dont fix it.

We all bashed Cappy all season long too. Me included. Im first to admit, i could be wrong b/c his players are responding and playing for him.

Boyes has 31 points in 43 games. what more do you want? what more do you want from guy making 1MM this year? He suppose to be challenging stamkos and ovechkin. Boyes skates 10X harder than Moulson. Moulson has been cruising around lately just waiting for the puck to come to him.

You are trying to convince me that Boyes is reason why Tavares and Moulson line not working?

- Spartiarti

Dude. really? The guy (frank)ing sucks

He's a 2nd/3rd line player. Prob a 3rd liner on a deep team.
Nothing more, nothing less...

He does need to work on his passing

I'm telling you from personal experience, I wouldn't even bother. 90% of the people here DO NOT get what you are saying.

I get it and I'm 100% with you. It works, leave it alone. Resign him for another year (or two) and if a prospect fits into the line, Boyes can always be traded away.

Most here don't get that.

There are also a few that argued with me about me thinking that resigning Nabby was a good idea.

My opinion is that the only focus Isles management should have after the season is over is signing Boyes and Nabby. After those two are signed they can look at other UFAs or trades if they feel like they need it. But those two need to be under contract through next season at least.

As far as the game last night, I wasn't very happy with it. The first period was great. After that, it was pretty bad.

Against Pitt or Boston they might have lost that game even if they were up by 4 in the first.

Good win but terrible 2nd and 3rd.

Boyes isn't good. But he's what we have. Vukota has a point that you can't really mess up the other lines that are working, and if they were going to try a call-up in that spot, they would have had to have done it weeks ago to give enough time to see if that player could cut it.

edit -- Have to look for an upgrade there in the offseason though. A second legit threat from somewhere...within or without. It can't be as simple as have three guys beat up Tavares and completely contain the first line.

I agree I wanted to See Grabner up there but I understand then you have three lines going. Boyes though is now a third line player not first line player. I beleive he played on the third line with Buffalo

He's not even playing on most teams. You can't move him down the depth chart bcs his defensive game is deplorable and he does'nt hit. The guy sucks, there's nothing to debate. BTN him and Moulson JT is ready to take a long walk off a short pier.

We will be in the playoffs regardless. I think the Jets as well. The Rags are in serious trouble offensively. Who is the big FA this year? You can bet Rangers will be after him

We are in the playoffs without them scoring and Moulson and Boyes horrible play lately. Now with that said we need them to start producing once we're in. If we continue to get the secondary scoring we have had leading into the playoffs with that first line clicking we'd be a tough team to play against and would match up decent to anyone, except Boston of course

The way I see it, there seems like theres going to be 3 forward spots open next year. With Reasoner, Aucoin, and Boyes being out. I can see them resigning Aucoin to a 2 way deal like he is now and keep him around for insurance. I don't know whether they'll resign Boyes (I hope not) but my guess is they'll evaluate whether they feel they have 2 or 3 guys from the bridge that are ready to come up full time. If they think they do, I doubt they sign anyone other than for depth. If they only have 1 or 2 guys ready, I can see them resigning Boyes or someone like him for a short term deal.

I dont know why but I feel the NHL will not let that happen. They need the Rangers in and they will try to make it easy for them. They do have a weak schedule. I dont trust that team
