but they are all on clicking lines

XxNYIxX

- XxNYIxX

those 4 are...i agree..

unfortunately the most talented player on our team by a landslide isnt on a line thats clicking and both players are slowing him down.

if getting JT going by breaking up a 3rd line which is there for physical play and forechecking, im not thinking twice about it.

yes being in a playoff race makes a big difference... but he still should have been moved.. even if he resigns in the off season... he is a big asset... that could walk for nothing.

I agree, dont break something else to fix another thing.

Thats why i mentioned BP players & Joensuss who has talent, but is the first to get scratched to get someone else into the line up.

XxNYIxX

- XxNYIxX

its not the time to put the season at risk by having the first scratched player or an AHLer play on the top line just in hopes that Boyes (id put moulson in the same category at this point) steps his game up

if they hadn't let the "The 8th Wonder of The World" walk.. we wouldn't be worrying about the first line right now.

If the line isnt working.. why not?

it would give all 3 players a kick in the @ss.

well garth decided to go for it this year and try to make the playoffs. you cant just trade players so you dont lose them...the name of the game is winning hockey, not losing assets.

whose to say theyd get into the playoffs had they traded streit??

How about this: the team is 9-1-2 in its last 12. Lets not change anything and leave the lines the way they are.
- Jethro09

Right one Jethro. Some here dont understand the concept if it aint broke dont fix it.

We all bashed Cappy all season long too. Me included. Im first to admit, i could be wrong b/c his players are responding and playing for him.

Boyes has 31 points in 43 games. what more do you want? what more do you want from guy making 1MM this year? He suppose to be challenging stamkos and ovechkin. Boyes skates 10X harder than Moulson. Moulson has been cruising around lately just waiting for the puck to come to him.

You are trying to convince me that Boyes is reason why Tavares and Moulson line not working?

I don't think anything should be changed up right now. The chemistry between these players and this coaching staff is working. I don't see how Cappy and his staff aren't extended after this season. That's not to say that Cappy is a great coach. It just says that he and this staff are working well with these players.

I hope they spend but I think he is going to give these kids a shot.
- Vukota

I agree I think they'll give the kids a shot. If these kids can get the job done fine.I can see at least one impact move though. It's going to be an interesting offseason that is for sure. Plenty decisions need to be made.

youre unreal!!!! you have no idea if this is true or not.... its so hard to give credit, isnt it??

at least be impartial and say you dont know whats going on...to say they are responding to weight and thompson only is pure stubbornness.

It is true to a certain extent... About a month ago (maybe even longer), Im not sure what game it was but during one of the intermissions, Weight ripped the team apart and the players after the game said he did and that it wasnt the first time either...

Does this happen everyday? everygame? everytime something goes wrong or is done wrong? Prob not but the players have said this happens... I have never heard a player say that Cappy ripped them a new one, only Weight...

And just in my opinion... From hearing Cappy, Thompson and Weight talk after game and during intermission interviews... Thompson and Weight just seem more of a Coaching figure/mentors/teachers. I could be completely wrong but thats the feeling I get when listening to each guy speak.

i know about weight and him yelling at the players...

so youre going to make the assumption that since weight once yelled at the team and ripped into them that cappy deserves no credit...

BUT you wont give the team credit for winning since its a shortened season??

you have amazingly inconsistent logic.

dude you can think what you want and I will too. Thing is that every interview you hear from the players they never EVER mention Cappy EVER. They talk about Weight most of the time and then Thompson how they rip into them.

Like I said though I am happy with the team right now. We are not in the playoffs yet but we are close

Cappy gets credit for the team's "battle level" and their belief in themselves. That counts for a lot. He's still a nightmare when it comes to match-ups and tactics. He's not exactly Hannibal on the battlefield...

edit -- I gotta say though that I have noticed the team actually playing a defensive shutdown system in the third when ahead. That's...not how it was going earlier in the season.
