Was anyone else even awaee that we signed Niagra U captain and Def Jason Beattie to play in Rochester? 6'3 220 lbs... not a scorer by any means but I love his size.
That is 3 college UFAs that Darcy has signed tbis year alone.... I fn love it.

if tom still owned the sabres, that does not happen
Not really, Catenacci is more feisty and less talented. I would think Dan would max out as a AHL player. When Ennis was drafted he was said to be one of the most talented players in the draft. If Catenacci can´t score in the NHL he wont make it, he is too small and not that great defensively to be a third or 4th line player that or he reinvents himself.

Go figure CHI (2X), DET (2X), NYR (3X), PIT (3X) all get games... Absolute B.S. We consistently put up top ratings for NBC/NBCSN, sell out are games, etc yet still get poop on by them. - LetsGoBuffalo75
At least we're not being force-fed Hab's and Leaf's which is pretty much what I figured it would be.

A lot of people disagree with you. I've read that Cat is sound defensively, good at faceoffs and would do well with a third or 4th line role as well. He is an explosive skater who can catch opponents and backcheck.

Well four if you are counting Amateur Try Out:
Tim Schaller (ELC)
Chad Ruhwedel (ELC)
Jason Beattie (ATO only)
Nick Bailen (ATO only)
Bailen has played with the Amerks. Beattie has not seen any games yet. Schaller had surgery. His contract starts next year.
