Am I missing something here?

You don't think they should reconstruct Prince Albert Street North?

Some subliminal weiner reference I'm missing?

- Atomic Wedgie

it just amazes me that streets can somehow continue to be named in a fashion that could be construed that way.

thats all.

Canucks against NW Division : 11-5-1
Against Central : 7-2-3 (undefeated against Nashville and Chicago)
Against Pacific : 6-5-2 (undefeated against LA)

San Jose has owned us this year though

So anyone who was thinking Van just beats up their own division is wrong.

ok, but if you are florida why give up anything?

sit, wait, gillis buys luongo out, then he comes and wants to sign at a more reasonable price and term

makes more sense to wait.. especially since he will just go sign there anyways

- Dozzer

I didn't say they would have to give up anything. In fact Vancity may have to take something back that they don't really want.

guy was a Richard.

I remember the first time I heard the Prince Albert reference I was getting my eyebrow pearced and the girl at the shop asked me if I was in for the Prince Albert I looked it up in the book (they had like a peircing book) and I was like (frank) that.

Imagine living in Prince Albert, SK... Not only do you have to deal with living in a town named Prince Albert, but with living in Saskachewan as well.

(as if Manitoba were any better )

vancity cant afford to do that tho. and you have to be with a team for a certain period of time to be eligible for a buyout. so florida cant just send some over priced guy to vancouver to be bought out.

vancouver is looking at one of two options imo

1: buyout luongo

2: trade schneider

however.. i guess vancouver could pay to move him via picks and prospects..

if gillis came to nonis and said luongo, vancouver's first, and guance for scrivens and say colborne i'd be inclined to consider it.

Well. Wilson had Kadri. Just decided he wasn't worth being given a chance to play with skilled players.

and that is only one of the reasons he is unemployed

Give Randy the Jack Adams for fixing the Penalty Kill alone

3rd in the NHL after years and years of bottom 5 under Wilson

On second thought, give someone else the Jack Adams and slap Ron Wilson in the mouth. And film it.

Give McClement the Jack Adams. The Vezina, and everything else.

Well, we can always change the topic...

What pieces do you think it would take for Toronto to get Luongo over the summer?

Loved to see Franson using his size last night with a half dozen good hits. Was debating last night if he or McClement deserved the 3rd star. McClement was one of the few forwards last night that was winning any of the battles along the boards.

I think Kadri, Gardiner and a 1st should get it done if we take some more salary back with Luongo..

As you should, it's a very underrated province.

As a Bombers fan, its my obligation to trash-talk it every once and a while, but every time I've left the Trans-Canada Highway, I've enjoyed my time there.

It'll depend on what alternatives exist out there but both Vancity and Lou are at the breaking point. I highly doubt ownership approves a 27 million dollar buyout.

To a non-cap team like Fla his contract is much "less bad" than to another team. Lou's contract is 6.7 for the next 4 years followed by 3.4 for 1 ...that's basically 5 years and 30 million ....still high but not terrible.

If Florida is interested than they have options ....make Vancouver add some pieces or take some pieces and/or eat some of Lou's salary. Lots of options ....all assuming Florida stays in Florida and that they don't add some other veteran goalie.

I don't think any level headed Canucks fan ever suggested that deal. Maybe Kadri and a 1st 2 years ago would have made a little bit of sense.
