Luongo is still a top 5 goalie in the league - I'd probably put him at top 3, behind only Schneider and another goalie who isn't as good as Luongo.

His cap hit is quite reasonable, and he is practically guaranteed to play at an extremely high level until the age of 43.

You are kidding yourself if you don't believe that at least 20 teams would love to have the guy.

You stupid Leafs fans are going to have egg on your faces when he is traded at the draft for multiple 1st round picks, and the team that gets him goes to the Stanley Cup finals for the next 9 years, losing each time to the Canucks.

Jerks.

coaches who work teams hard always have shelf lives.

but if the vets stay bought into what the coach is saying, and the GM is savvy enough to remove any cancerous attitudes from the room, then a coach like that can have a nice long career.

I'm hopeful Eakins is still around by the time Caryle spoils. I doubt he will be though.

Am I missing something here?

You don't think they should reconstruct Prince Albert Street North?

Some subliminal weiner reference I'm missing?

I don't like the Fenwick - but I do like sarcasm!

And I'm not from Ottawa.

And neither is Yost.

I think he currently gets paid better than most NHL coaches. That, and the promise that he's next in line could get him to stick around.

I'm no statistician, but you're gonna have to make up some more inaccurate stereotypes of Senators fans if you're ever gonna hit that percentage.

Any word if Lupul is in tonight? I was thinking that since it is back to back, and they got outworked by NJ last night, that a fresh set of legs and talent/leadership infusion tonight would go a long way to preventing a flop.

Tsn says yes. oops, no they said maybe.

Maple Leafs left winger Joffrey Lupul (concussion) missed his fifth straight game on Monday, but head coach Randy Carlyle said he could make his return tonight.
